Nah...PS4 and PC are good enough.

100 % you are right! Both systems has more games 2016 then the xbox1 and the big jrpgs are coming for PS4. And he has 3ds/psvita.

It is not worth it@ question

Those are all great games. Though if you have a current backlog of games to play (since you have so many systems), I'd say wait a bit. You never know, there might be a Xbox One slim at E3 or pricecut. However, if you have played all the games you wanted, yup! Xbox One is great!

I don't get why people would wait to buy a console just to save 50€ / GBP.
Liverpool just increased their prices. It is now 77 GBP to watch a single game.

I spend more than that when I am out with friends.
Damn, watching a movie (in theatre obviously) with my wife is more expensive than that.

In a word:
Go out and buy one.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

I don't get any people ask random strangers what they should spend hundreds of dollars on.  I love you guys on this site but I wouldn't ask you guys what topping I should put on my pizza.

And like you, the cost of a game is nothing to me. I spent $200 on dinner and a movie (Not even a great movie. We saw "The Boy") last week and never gave it a second thought. If you like something and you can afford it, buy it.  That's how I see it.

I already have a PS4, Wii U, Gaming PC with GTX 970 along with a 3DS and Vita.

Come on VG Chartz, help me make the decision. Should I pay a bit more and get one now? Remembering I have access to most games already. Here are the games I really want on the XB1:

Rare Replay (seems wrong half of this isn't on Wii U)
Sunset Overdrive
Forza Horizon 2
All the Halo shizzle (really like the idea of playing the first one at 60fps)
Dead Rising 3 (The PC port is meant to be poor I think?)

Is this content worth laying out £250 for a console? Is anything likely to come out in the near future that will reinforce this purchase?

Since I also had a PS4, Wii U, Gaming PC with GTX 970, 3DS and Vita, before I bought an additional Xbox One, I can understand your situation.

With multiplatform games, I try to buy the best version of the game, so if they don't fuck up the PC version and PS4 version, they take precedence over the XBO version. That leaves Xbox-exclusive games and multiplatform games without a proper PC/PS4 version for my Xbox One.

Edit: I made a flowchart of my version priorities: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=213331&page=1# ;)

TheHalo collection + Sunset Overdrive + Forza Horizon 2 + Rare Replay alone were worth it IMHO. Halo 5 will be my next XBO purchase. I'm also looking forward to Quantum Break, Gears of War 4, Scalebound, Crackdown 3 and ReCore.

Do yourself a favor and buy Dead Rising 3 (I love that game!) on PC instead of the XBO-version... 40 - 80 fps in native 1080p (GTX970-PC) instead of 20 - 30 fps in 720p (XBO).

If I was in your situation I would probably buy one. After you buy it, you no longer have to worry about any new consoles until next gen. The games will surely be fun, and will be a decent side console.

As someone who had all three last gen, I cannot think of a single reason to own an xbox this gen.

The way Microsoft handled their releases put me off (i.e. a complete Halo collection that requires you to download 20gbs to complete it is not complete to me).

I have to say the release is old news.  New people are in charge and the console has come a long way.  If anything I would say MS put more effort into making the X1 a better machien then Sony at this point.

As for my personal experience, I have every system.  PS4, X1, PC, WU, Vita, DS.  I purchase system because I love games and each system has their strength and weaknesses.  From my experience with the X1 there are enough TRUE console exclusives and your own list to probbaly own and appreciate the machine.  Its my go to Media center for my TV as it does so much right compared to using my PS4.  My PS4 is my go to 3rd party gaming system because they just run better on the device but there are a few games that perform on par on the X1 that has received my Money.

I would also say that the system your friends play on is a good incentive to purchse the X1 if you like to MP.  I prefer the X1 controller over the PS4 but I will say that Sony did a much better job on the PS4 controller where I have no issues with it like I did with the others.

When all is said and done, if the amount of games on the system now and in the future looks appealing to you and you have the cash, then get the X1.  When it all come down to it, no one opinion in this thread means anything besides your own.

Not if you own a pc, atleast not until it get exclusives. "Console exclusives are Bull and it discredit pc as a platform, since multiplats are" on multiple platforms"

Yeah I think it will be worthwhile.

Thanks for the input guys. I've decided I'm going to pay a chunk off my credit card instead and play the waiting game for an amazingly priced XBO bundle (the deals before Xmas were much better than is currently on) and now have full Wife approval for the purchase whenever the time comes :D
