Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Okay, I got an XB1! (Updated)

Should I get an XB1?

Yes 150 45.18%

No 142 42.77%

Only if more decent exclusives are confirmed. 40 12.05%

Total:332

Seeing as I purchased my Xbox One to primarily be a halo machine I would say yes, although I also use it for almost all my third party games and you already have a ps4 for that.

If you don't think that your other consoles are going to keep you busy enough, and you feel the few exclusives are worth it, then yes. Otherwise, there's no point in spending money on, what you won't have time to enjoy.

My PS4 and 3DS, keep me plenty busy. All of my older consoles are packed away, and i'm slowly getting rid of them and their games.

it's the by far best console on the market
ofc you should get an xbox one :)

Wait to Black Friday for the deals.

Shouldn't you wait for the NX reveal? I mean you may want to save the money for it later. Well, if you have plenty of cash, then why not. Just buy the Xbox.

This seems like a "set up" to fail, troll thread to be honest. All this trash about what is "exclusive" and " true exclusive ", and therefore it's not worth it is all BS. If you have all these systems already, why are you even having an internal debate with yourself if you're not satisfied with all the games content offered by those systems?  Absolutely ridiculous.

All these trashy arguments about " you only need PS4 and PC " this generation, but the " Xbox One and PC" or " Wii U and PC" combination is somehow "useless" is absolutely ridiculous. Buy whatever you want to.

This website is trumpeting some of the most pathetic and ridiculous Sony fanboy arguments I've ever heard in my life.

I mean the guy says he already has a PS4, it's not always about the PS4. There are other game platforms and systems available....

Other than reggin's comment, it's been a pretty civil thread.

Shopto £248, has ori and rare replay.

Okay, I always said I would wait until the thing was under £200 with a game I wanted before I "jumped in". However, I find myself in the unusual position this month, of having more than enough left over money to buy one at current rates and I accidentally listened to the original Banjo Kazooie OST last night while listening to a Greatest Chip Music playlist.

I already have a PS4, Wii U, Gaming PC with GTX 970 along with a 3DS and Vita.

Come on VG Chartz, help me make the decision. Should I pay a bit more and get one now? Remembering I have access to most games already. Here are the games I really want on the XB1:

Rare Replay (seems wrong half of this isn't on Wii U)
Sunset Overdrive
Forza Horizon 2
All the Halo shizzle (really like the idea of playing the first one at 60fps)
Dead Rising 3 (The PC port is meant to be poor I think?)

Is this content worth laying out £250 for a console? Is anything likely to come out in the near future that will reinforce this purchase?

If you have the expendable income, definitely.

Sunset Overdrive is great fun, Rare Replay speaks for itself.

I am not a huge racing fan so I won't comment on Forza.

RotTR and Gears are worth a look-in also.

If you get one drop by the Republic of Xbox and add some of us on Xbox Live

Wow what a strong comment. This isn't a troll thread in the slightest. I'm asking the vg chartz community for input because I'm not sure its the best use of my money. But actually I could currently buy an XB1 tomorrow if I wanted. The fact you view it as troll fodder would more suggest you agree the system doesn't hold up on its own so I would be better spending the money elsewhere?

I've stated the games I want, and am asking the whole community if they feel those games warrant the entry price. My PC is actually my most used system at the moment closely followed by my Vita. I actually use my Wii U third and PS4 is my least used platform. Again for ps4, there are superior options on PC than playing the console ver of most releases.

You wasted money on lots of Vita releases, so why is money suddenly a concern? Just buy the damn thing.

But if I don't buy it, I can own all those amazing Vita games :p

As for wasted, I guarantee when I sell my Vita collection, it'll be for more than I paid even after inflation ;)

My main concerns are it's big and only has a few games my other platforms don't run better.

Meanwhile the Vita is without peer. ;)
