I just call myself a gaming enthusiast, I play on a host of consoles and try to play as many genres as I possibly can, and diversify my gaming experiences. I'm happy playing a high quality graphical showpiece on my PS4 or a beautiful artistic Wii U game, but have no problem switching to say a Wii, Gamecube or N64 game. If a game is good then graphical presentation is secondary for me (although its nice to have both)

This best describes me. I play a lot of games on a lot of different computers, systems, and handhelds. I've been gaming in some form or another for close to 30 years. I do lean towards more old-school difficult games, but I try not to limit myself.

I consider myself just as enthousiastic about games (even if I'm not necessarily enthousiastic about where the industry is heading) as I was when I was younger.  I just have adult responsibilities that keep me from games more than I like.

Casual who plays core games. Not a big fan of hardcore as they ruin some games for me like Bloodborne.

Core is a hardcore gamer. Its just the short way of saying it. I am a hardcore gamer that because of his work schedule is forced to play less than desired but certainly not casually.

Hardcore i would say, play 3h a days at least, got all console but microsoft one from nes/master system.

Hmmm. That's interesting. I thought core and hardcore were one in the same. I guess some people are always making up new terms and changing some of the older ones. I'm a hardcore gamer.

Sooner or later, it's gonna be as bad as metal is with it's subgenres. At some point, it's just stupid to create more.

Core Gamer, with your definition

Back in the day the difference between normal gamer and hardcore gamer was very definitive and there was no middle ground. Somewhere along the years when gaming became more popular, this group of hardcore gamers got smaller and smaller compared to the total population of gamers. From there the term "hardcore" gamer started slowly lose its original meaning and became a lot more broad which eventually lead to the current definition of "casual" and "core" gamers. "Core" is nowadays said to be short from hardcore but its meaning is totally different from the time I remember it (80's-90's).

I personally have always been hardcore gamer and it was obvious when growing up and still is today. To me the definition of casual/hardcore gamer is about mentality and philosophy towards games and gaming.

I cannot imagine toilet-free life.

Kebabs have a unique attribute compared to other consumables. To unlock this effect you need to wolf down a big ass kebab really fast, like under 10 minutes or so and wait for the effect to kick in. If done correctly your movements should feel unbelievably heavy to the point where you literally cannot move at all.

I guess i'm core. I can't get into games that are too frustrating, but i play games on my PS4, as much as possible. Plus, i've been playing games for a bit over 30 years.

I'm still casual, We Cheer was my GOTY for 2008.

This is me enjoying it back then
