Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Xbox One: Just the beginning

It felt very FPS heavy, which worries me: I think I'm getting FPS fatigue (Far Cry, Destiny, Wolfenstein, Fallout, Battlefront, etc.). I didn't even touch CoD, own Halo 5, and know that others are in my library. While this is now a market driver, there is a saturation point that turns people off. I really need FFXV to release, because I will be playing Deus Ex, Far Cry Primal, and other FPS games soon.

The ending ruined it for me. So sick of that phrase

why do they show last year games like rarereplay and then 2017 games like scalebound?

Probably because Microsoft dominated fourth quarter and its only February?

It's a good ad. Games like Scalebound, Quantum Break, Recore, and Sea of Thieves really have me hyped up the most and I feel like Microsoft needs more of those games to make their library of exclusives and games more unique.

NO ONE plays old games. Old as in released 3 months ago or later than that. Truth

So basically a bunch of third party games (with better versions available on the competing console), some exclusives announced years ago with no release dates in sight, and almost no actual gameplay.

I can't believe MS expects this to sale, I know its marketing but you actual substance to back it up.

I have an Xbox one but I haven't actually plugged it in in months. I'm still wanting for Quantum Break and all the other "AAAA" exclusives MS claimed were in development years ago.

well they are just doing what Sony has championed for almost 2 decades now... That's what happens when you banter someone on how they do marketing wrong and should do like the competition.... They use to talk only about the right here right now... But it wasn't good enough... So don't complain now, people get what they ask for...

and better on other platform... Yeah sure if you look at graphics only and I'd argue more than 50% don't have the equipment to pretend to attain it and a lot of the rest never calibrate it right.... I haven't seen often a console gamer set his shit right unless he is a home theatre enthusiast...

that being said if gameplay is variable there is nothing better gamepad wise than an Xbox gamepad... I'd rather play 1 our with that pad than 10 with a dual shock... That pad is an insult to human anatomy...

I agree, plus if it its an online game or online centric game which is 90 percent of games, I believe the xbox one version is better by default because of xbox live.

Which DualShock model are you talking of? They aren't all the same. I wasn't a fan of the old DS2 or DS3, while I love the 360-pad and still use it for PC games.

But the DS4 is much much better than the old models. My XBO-pad, my DS4 and my WiiU Pro controller are all at the same level IMHO (except battery times), I have no favorite this generation.

If most of your friends are still on XBL, that might be true for you. Otherwise the online experience depends on several factors, f.e. your region: if a game gets sold multiple times on PS4 in Europe (especially Germany) than the XBO version, it is much easier to find other players. This gets more and more important if your favorite online games lose popularity.

Didn't know Splatoon was on Xb one.

Most games seems to be easier to find on xbl for me personally. However, the main reasons I don't like PSN is all the little things build up from voice quality being mediocre at best to simple things like folders and changing names. My biggest gripe is the wifi chipset is really mediocre. http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation-General/PS4-wifi-is-pathetic/td-p/43112558. Seems sony gimped on that part.
