Better to have the option than not to have the option. Just like EA Access.

Some games are complete crap on Early Access, but Ark was not. XBO even got to play it free for 3days or a week, cannot remember.

I don't doubt they would love to sell the beta test to everyone. Ofcourse there is positives to this practices, as it gives devs the resources to fullfil their vision (if it's extremely successful like Ark) and it's certain all major bugs will be documented and should be ironed out for the official release.
But the devs could also just pack it up and run with the money, like the DayZ creator pretty much did.

And playing games in a rough, hardly tested state actually isn't all that fun.

Why, of course you would like for Sony to have Early Access - after all, you get to sell unfinished product on 36+ mil install base....what's not to like about that.

Whatever Sony decides in the future (they've been testing the idea, if I'm not mistaken), hopefully they will curate it and not allow it to turn into mess that Early Access on Steam is.

meh it can stay where it is we dont need it on PS4. I think early access ruines the expiereince. We allready have enough unfinished games we pay even 60 bucks for it

Early access suck. I'm glad Sony doesn't have that feature. Basically you act as a beta tester, and you don't have a guarantee that this game will come out.

i don't get why any consumer enjoys playing broken, half-finished games. ..and some times more options can be damaging. i'm really glad i don't have to worry about whether or not a game on psn is done or not. not sure how ms handles that but i'm glad i don't have to worry about that.

Why cant they sell it in its current state?? I mean if the only problem is its an unfinished game then its like 99% of games released these days

Yes and no.  Its an option that you can dismiss just like any other option.  What the early access does give you is a chance to try the game for free and decide if its worth your investment.  I did this for Elite Dangerous and it paid off.  I did not do this for Ark because it was still not ready enough for my money.
