I understand the inspirations, but that doesn't mean a thing to the business side of it, though.
PlayStation is a way better target to both indie and RPG games to follow, they have bigger chances of comercial success there.

Why isn't it a PS exclusive? ;) PC has the biggest userbase for cheap indie games.

There's more to a game's sales than userbase. Hence why Splatoon is selling better than most Sony exclusives on the PS4. Developers like Shinen have also had more success on Nintendo consoles than on PS consoles (Fast Racing Neo being their fastest selling game to date, a game obviously inspired by Fzero). Shovel Knight is also more succesful on Nintendo consoles because it's a 2D sidescroller reminiscent of SNES games. I wouldn't be surprised of Shantae: Half Genie Hero sold more on Wii U than on PS4 as well. And indie developers can reach out to Nintendo for amiibo, another big potential source of income that doesn't exist on PS4.

I find that to be a pretty absurd bold statement. We'll see though.

It goes to show you that the internet really is an echo chamber. With all of the talk that Undertale has received, 1 million sales seems low.

Honestly with the amount of reviews on steam and views on youtube I thought this game would be at 2+ millions... just a random guess.

Well it's been out only 4 months. But still hopefully Toby fox decides to release it on consoles. I really want to play it on my ps vita... it's perfect for handhelds

I'd really love to see it on 3DS/N3DS just for the AR and dual screen functionality (especially with Lesser Dog's neck)
