Wow, that's impressive. Not let's see which console gets an Undertale port first.

Vita duh! :p

Undertale does seems like a perfect fit for handhelds.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

I don't think it would pass certification due to a certain mechanic. Also, the engine doesn't export to Nintendo platforms which would be the most obvious target.

Why would Nintendo be the most obvious target? PlayStation gets the most of the indie stuff and has a way broader market reach, specially for RPGs.

Are you serious?

"He also stated that EarthBound has had a large influence on him, because of its unsettling atmosphere.[12] In an interview with The Escapist, Fox listed off inspirations for the game: "The talking system came from Shin Megami Tensei. I feel that it's important to make every monster feel like an individual. If you think about it basically all monsters in RPGs like Final Fantasy are the same, save for the graphics. They attack you, you heal, you attack them, they die. There's no meaning to that."[13]

Fox has stated that he did not want grinding to be necessary at any point, wanting people to be able to do it if they wanted to while still making it as optional as possible. He also did not want to introduce fetch quests, as they involve backtracking that he does not really like. He said that he likes Super Mario RPG and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, the latter having one of his favorite RPG battle systems ever, and that he wanted Undertale to have an equally engaging system.[12]"

The guy doesn't even like the typical PS RPGs.

And? Do you really think that a simultaneous PS4/Wii U release would have the Wii U version selling more?

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,

It would sell more on 3DS/Wii U/NX than on PS4/PSV yes.

How that does even try to disprove me or make a point over Nintendo being it's obvious target?
It's based on some games, cool, how does that even start to mean it's potential market appeal?

"The guy doesn't even like the typical PS RPGs" I would reverse question you if you were being serious as you felt like asking it to me, but after something like that... let's just hope you aren't.

It's based on iconic Nintendo franchises. There you have your obvious target.

To the posts above, a more appropiate quote is needed I feel:

"Fox has said that he has an interest in porting Undertale to platforms besides PC. He said that it would be great if he could put it onto a Nintendo platform, but he could not do that because GameMaker: Studio does not support these, so that he would need to reprogram the entire game.[12]"

Yeah, haven't played it yet. It does seem like an obvious Vita game to me though.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.
