So here's the thing: Books are frikkin awesome. They are (imo) the best way to tell a story in nearly every case. And thus, just like I have favourite games and game series, I have favourite books, and book series.

So here's some of my faves:

Gone series (Michael Grant)

Discworld novels (not really a series, just a bunch of books set in the same universe) (Terry Pratchett)

Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus series (Rick Riordan)

Sean King and Michelle Maxwell series (David Baldacci) (also I couldn't find a good pic of all covers, so I went with only one of the books)

More series/books (can't include too many pics lol):

Artemis Fowl series (Eoin Colfer)

Harry Hole series (Jo Nesbø, Norwegian writer. Y'all should check him out )

Harry Potter series (J. K. Rowling)

Proxima "not yet a" series (Stephen Baxter)

Mission Telemark (Amanda Mitchison)

The Dark Tower series. Starts off a bit slow, but really gets going after that first book.

Hmm Stephen King is pretty great. Might check 'em out if I get the chance!

The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay

Greatest book I've ever read.

Scratch that, greatest single piece of media I've ever experienced.

bet: lost

My favourites authors are Neil Gaiman, Ben Aaronovitch, Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett.

Way too many to sum up. I'm currently reading Revelation space, waiting for the sequel to Proxima, Ultima and the last 2 parts of The long earth series, The long Utopia and The long cosmos. Last I read was The Witcher series, also waiting for a translation of the next part of that.

Catcher in the Rye would be the one book at the top of my list. I recently read Console Wars, and thought it was great. I'd suggest that book to anyone who either grew up in the 16-bit wars or is just curious about how it all went down from behind the scenes.

1984

Must-read book for anyone

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

Has the long utopia been released already?
