Forums - PC Discussion - Final Fantasy XV’s Uncovered Event Page Hints At PC Release

It will come to PC but only after 2-3 years if not more and probably with crappy optimization, that's why I bought PS4 instead of new PC.

Beta or Alpha access to a game that is about to release is something completely different.

PS don't sell unfinished games, only final builds, if it had allowed Starbound Beta it would be waiting 2 years while holding people money, it would be a disaster.

I don't like when games fall on eternal Beta, games should release final builds, and being sold when it's that way. It's a shame Statbound had to go that way.

The thing is some games have to go in beta and have loads of folk testing and playing it other than not talking a peep about it, pulling some millions upon millions of pounds in marketing, only for the game to come out in bad shape or completely not what was expected. With early access (the good oens), you are giving devs the info needed to make the game better than simply having a released game with 2 patches and being left to rot (looking at thos KT PC ports which are supposed to be of AAA outstanding seal of approval Japanese quality and yet they aren't).

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

If it comes out within 2-3 years -its gonna be like GTAV which will be the best version lol.

Lol I would love to see SE go full ham on marketing that version like Rockstar did, they are definitely one of the AAA publishers/devs out there that really went home on marketing the PC version and showing it against the other versions.

Also I'm seeing a lot of "yeah but you'll be waiting" as if that's an end all to be all argument. I've waited years for other games to even begin to appear like Disgaea, and I waited for GTA V, I am pretty damn sure I can wait for FF XV and get the better version for simply waiting. Also non PC folk have to wait for other titles to come to them, I don't see why that argument has to only work one way and one way only.

And somewhere out there, a yellow bird and dog with a black spot on their eye rejoices... maybe? o:

Well FF XIII games came out a couple of years after console versions and they were crappy port, at least XIII and XIII-2 don't know about the third game.

Is this reference to me ;O!

If so hellz ya.

I'm gonna be double dipping on the game.

I already have FF3, 4, 4 The After Years, 7, 8 and 13 on my Steam library ;)

Gonna be buying 5, 6 and 9 this year.

Haha yeah, I was. You're the only yellow bird I know around here xD I thought this was a Basil thread, but it turns out I was wrong. Though Zero is also a PC guy, so I am not as surprised, haha. I figured it was someone from the PC community.

Starbound is still on Beta, that's probably why it still didn't released on PS4 or anywhere else.
Nice little game, by the way, would like to it to get an actual final build and release.

It's a good game for sure, especially with the last few updates as well, though I do miss the old system with the planets where you could die of starvation or boil/freeze tod eath (you still can but you need actual suit specs to survive a planet's atmosphere entirely).

Haha, I miss that as well! It took some of the dangers away from the game, which took abit of the excitement away... I hear that feature may be coming back soon! O:

The fact Starbound is on Beta for so long is concerning, and PS chooses not to sell Betas, which if dropped will give them a headache, and Starbound is far too long on Beta, that's it, that's why it didn't came, and if it was supposed to come back in 2014 it was because it was supposed to be getting out of Beta and it's 2016 and it still didn't, that's it, PS don't have an early access program, it sell complete games.

As I said, it's a shame Starbound went that way, I can and do understand alpha and beta phases, but I don't like when it reaches Beta and keeps that way, it not properly releasing a final build, which can be expanded and polished by the way, it's a shame.

I don't think you have to worry about Starbound, haha. It's still going well and strong, still updating and adding more cool things. The final thing will release at some point in time, and it may be pretty great~

You are deviating the subject.

Broken games have nothing to do with releasing a Beta as a finished game.

There have been plenty of games that have been in ea for a while now, what concerns me the most out of all of this is that it takes a dev or a few maybe 2-3 years, sometimes a bit longer if they are using their own resources, but with a company as big as SE it apparently takes a decade to make a SP game, I'd find that a bit more concerning because it shows just pouring truckloads of money and hiring a lot of people didn't seem to slim down the time at all. Also for Starbound the game was more or less in early Beta near the practicalend of 2013, to expect it to be fully finished and completely fleshed out some months later on nother platform is expecting a bit much from a small team, especially when you compare it to say AAA games that end up coming out the door being hacked to pieces or buggy day/week one and costing a lot more at that. Concerns of a small indie dev team aren't one of my main concerns, it's the AAA teams and pubs that have the actual power and money that seem to take longer or botch things up is what concerns me the most.

In the end PC folk still got to play it first and are still playing it, same with XBox folk who are playing ARK and once it "fully releases" they will still be playing it and then PS4 folk will too. The other thing to note is that PC still has games that haven't been released on PC for quite some time and some that never have. Recent memory shwos we've got XCOM 2, the devs haven't completely said that consoles are out of the picture but it shwos PC got to play it first, that's where the game is at if we go by this type of made up rule.

I think it's a shame we have to wait a decade for a AAA game from a corp that is stupidly rich, I can respect a guy in his garage or home/small office toiling away at his own creation, with his own resources, it happens a lot with smaller guys but with bigger corps and more power/money, the expectations are quite different for me. THe way you and I see polish seems to be different, I'll note you that.

I hope so, I really loved that part of the game where I would spend the daytime hunting for meat to cook, then go down mining during the night and keeping myself close to a campfire with some meat to keep me from starvation =P.

The latest update sorted out the combat and weapons big time as well as adding some new mobs, new behaviours, new planets and generated dungeons as well as vehicles. They have a vid on Steam/YT detailing a list of changes they've made and we also have another two biggish updates left before they hit 1.0.
