Neogaf administrators have called ioi "fantasyland" numbers and accuse the site of replicating NPD leaks with minor adjustments. What is the official response to this via ioi and vgchartz.com?

seems that site can't really make up it's mind about VGcharts. First they claim the numbers are made up, then they claim the numbers are stolen from NPD, now we just get banned if we mention the site. I think they worry about it too much.

Fantasyland numbers and NPD leaks, eh? I suppose fantasyland = weekly NA stats and NPD leaks = bunkum I do think they worry about it too much. They're just numbers. Speaking of which, ioi, are you going to make a new category for NPD or bring back monthly data for NA?

When 2 months down the road, VGCharts somehow gets within 5% of every major title, but does it weekly....We'll see. The fact is, unlike others, ioi is TRYING to do better - something NPD hasn't done once since they started tracking friggin' video games.

I'm quite disappointed that ioi has yet to respond to this thread.

ioi is a busy person, and you cannot expect him to answer every question. If you have such a question that you would like to ask ioi personally, send him a PM.

Whatever, jealousy takes many forms. Once this site warms up (give it 12 months from now) GAF will be irrelevant.
