Is trump racist?

Yes. 140 59.07%

No. 84 35.44%

Other 13 5.49%

Total:237

The question is simple enough. However, the answer isn't clear(for some reason).

Trump is considered by many to be a xenophobic, racist man that shouldn't run for president. Others think he is neither one of those. So, what do you think? Is he racist or not? And if you believe he isn't, then why do many people consider him racist?

To make sure no one uses their silly definition of racism, here's the actual one:

rac·ism
ˈrāˌsizəm/
noun

  1. the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.
    • prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

Yes (do too the fact you can be modded and or bannd for posting less than 2 words, add this warning as a reminder, and to meet the characters necessary to avoid mod action)

He's only being called a racist because his comments and policies are a bit harsh, but he's just being real about the issues if he was more political about it don't know if he would be so popular, he is the most authentic presidential candidate i have ever seen

He is definitely race baiting. There is a segment of America that believes that America isn't pure anymore because of the shrinking white majority. Trump taps into that. I wonder how Native Americans feel when they here about people wanting to close the borders to keep folks out for whatever reason.

But in actuality, Trump has gone against the idea of personal responsibility and rather encourages people to blame others for their problems. Like blaming China and Mexico for taking jobs when it was Americans who sent the overseas to fatten their own pockets.

Hardly anyone is actually racist these days, besides a few extremists. People who say others are racist are also probably extremist.

This man gets it

What he says is xenophobic and culture racism but I still think it's mostly PR tactics, not his actual views.

No. He's just not worried about political correctness.

He's no racist. He's Xenophobic.

I don't even know if he's racist at all, or if he's just tapping into a certain xenophobic demographic part of America. Truth is, it's a smart way to appeal to a traditionnal political base of Americans. But I do not endorse this kind of political tactic.
