And why now is the government suddenly wanting to deport over 80,000 muslums who didn't get asylum?

It's just a trick to calm the people and the Social democrats know this very well. It won't happen in reality because the majority of those 80,000 will go underground, and then after a couple of years they are are allowed to stay because the government will proclaim an amnesty for all illegal refugees (it happened many times in the past). Another method is to stay underground for four to five years and then just plead to the authorities that your familiy has gotten so used to Swedish society that they would feel awkward to return to their home country - and our jackass authorities accept this reason lol

That's the Swedish moral - if you obstruct long enough you earn the jackpot. And it's like that on every level in our society, and is one reason why criminals succeed so well here. Obstruct and complain, and eventually our insecure authorities will start questioning themselves and even question what is right and wrong lol

Sweden really is not a normal country. I have never met so many morally sick, twisted and perverted people anywhere else. Although I don't like foreigners for a multitude of reasons, their morals are much more sane. I wish I wasn't born here.

If we are so morally sick, twisted and perverted then for the love of fuck just leave, and take your hate, your propaganda and the fear mongering with you.

Yeah, here's the famous tolerance in action.

No clue? I ask again, if Swedens economy is so great then why do they have negative interest rates?

Ive been posting on other economics based forums for over a decade so i knew previously that Sweden also has a housing bubble and sky high personal debt levels.HSBC even reported a month ago that Swedens housing bubble was unsustainable, see for yourself : http://www.businessinsider.com.au/hsbc-sweden-housing-bubble-not-sustainable-2016-1?r=UK&IR=T

I live in Australia, we have the same housing bubble and high personal debt load issues as Sweden but i don't run around kidding myself that the economy is in great shape, it is deteriorating here.Still, our interest rates are at 2.00% so we have room. What are you guys going to do when things get worse, drop rates even further into negative territory? You might as well hold cash, then you can avoid the negative rates. You still have cash right? I heard some banks have stopped stocking banknotes and they are tearing out ATMs all over the place. It ain't good dude.

Swedens housing bubble is a big concern for the government and the national bank. They have tried different measures to address this but our version of a constitution puts many limits on how much the state can regulate interestes for individuals and put up demands on how you can receive loans. So its a tricky situation but they are working hard on it.

The negative interest rate is a response to the continuing instability around the world and, althougn the national bank has received criticism for maintaining it at such a low level, the argument from them is that they want to secure so that we don´t run into extreme inflation of our currency when we don´t now how things will develop in Greece, Spain, Italy and some of Eastern europe. The problems with the refugee wave also causes a lot of instability. So instead of inflating the economy, they are trying to hold it as steady as possible. We had a GDP growth of 3.9% last year and unemployment is going down quite fast so it seems to have an effect.

Also to the OP: We who are liberal love Sweden. We just don´t se how being open to other countries and people can be seen as self-hatred. I love Sweden BECAUSE we are an open society that have relatively open borders. We also have something called "Allemansrätten" which basically means that all land, private or public, is accesible to all citizens. I doesn´t include houses or private lawns, but you can camp out in any woods, go through private or public forests picking berries and mushrooms and enjoye nature wherever you are in Sweden. I think that has also had a great effect on our oppenes towards other countries.

Thanks for all replies so far. I found this channel and video of a swedish man who explains quite well in this video the origins of the mess:

I think you also need to look up swedish crime statistics, because violent crime, robbery and murder are lower than they were ten years ago. The big problem is with sexual harrasment, where we have seen some big increases lately, and especially rape. So, crime overall has decreased, but rape has increased until 2012 (it has decreased slightly the last couple of years). This is definetely something that needs to be addressed and even though we know that the vast majority of rapes are committed by people with two swedish parents, the crime rate regarding this specific crime is four times as high within groups where both parents are from another country (and this includes people from all over the world).

TBH, and I don't know if it is the same in Sweden as it is here, but rape was something that wasn't reported by many women because it was always seen as the womans fault and shameful, that she must be a slut and wanted it but then said no blah blah attitute.

Now days, women are more open to reprting without society looking at them in a bad way. Therefore I honestly think that rape figures have gone up because more women report the incident than they used to in the past.

Absolutely, it has changed radically, especially in the 21st century. The government has broadened what can be seen as rape so also include partial rape, and a person at the age of 18+ having sex with someone under 15. They have also broadened the cases for what should be considered sexual assault or harassment. Sweden is considered to have the broadest definition of secual assault which partially explain our higher numbers.

More and more women report cases of rape, but the crime statistics department has done several examinations so see if actual cases have increased and it doesn´t seem like it, more that the legal system has become better at convicting in rape cases. It is also more common that men report cases of being raped so it´s great that more people feel secure enough to speak out, but it´s saddening that so many cases happen every year.

That is not to say we don´t cherish some of the more common swedish traditions (some of which goes a couple of hundred years back in time). Christmas is huge, but not as a christian holiday. New years eve is big aswell. Halloween is big but has traditionally been celebrated in a different way than the US version. Easter is huge aswell, where kids dress up as witches and go around collecting candy. And the big one is Mid summers eve, where se drink schnaps, eat "sill", raise a celebratory pole and sing songs. We also have Cray Fish parties with funny hats and a party where we eat fermented fish.

The concern isn't whether or not the large numbers of immigrants like Christmas, meatballs, or Ikea. It's civil-rights that have been hard-worked for for decades and centuries. Gender equality, racial equality, sexual equality, freedom of speech, assembly, religion, freedom of association. The right to trial by jury, etc, etc.

These things have taken generations and generations, people don't come around to these ideas once they get a nice job and a house. You're now importing a very large number of individuals who have not yet developed these mindsets, as they are simply not the reality of the places where these people are from.

Problem is, it is the right-wing, lead by the party "Sweden Democrats" that are on the forefront in infringing on people's rights, by wanting to force immigrants to give up on their religion, suggestion citizenship should be revoked for some groups, wanting to create a national registry on Muslims and some even suggesting Muslims should have some kind of special identification.

it's not Muslim organizations that are any problem at all, or immigrants. As a group, they have no influence on the issues you raise. I have always been more concerned that we have the party "Christian Democrats" in the parliament, a party that actually base their politics on the bible and have been in the leading coalition for this country between 2006-2014. Any party that want to form the country according to a specific religion is something I deeply oppose, but that party hasn't come from Muslims, but Christians.

Wow is that guy for real? He's like a parody of a parody.

I shouldn't even have to dignify that video with a serious response but I can't resist.

You won't get ostrasized for differing ploitical views. If that was the case I would have gotten ostrasized everytime I shifted political allegiance.

It's nice that he used the term cultural marxism though. A term popularized by Anders Breivik and whose meaning is complete conspiratorial nonsense.

Let me give you the true story. Sweden has, since the fourties when we took in jews fleeing the nazis, been a strong promoter of peace and humanism in the world. Helping people and working for peace has been a strong tradition ever since. That's why there is an intense rage, when a xenophobic party like SD has become big enough to gain seats in the parlament. For better or worse we've always looked down on other countries where such parties are popular and have had the mindset of "we're better than that".

That's why SD and it's sympathizers are seen as a huge national embarrassment. And that is why people are angry. Noone except them wants them to exist, parties refuse to work with them etc. This is probably why that clown in the video said that people get ostrasized for different opinions. Because he holds an opinion that everyone not living in his bubble hates with a passion.

I'm sorry but the whole world right now is pointing at Sweden and asking ARE YOU STUPID? Mass immigration with no screening = full retardation. Your system is fundamentally flawed. You had great success for 4 decades? Congrats, but it's time to wake up now.

Except the whole world isn't really doing that. People across the world living in far-right bubbles are doing it.
And didn't you say earlier that muslims cannot integrate no matter what? Screening is something we can have a realistic discussion about but according to you no amount of screening in the world would help anyway.
