Forums - Politics Discussion - Questions about Sweden

Yeh, sweep it all under the rug. At the end of the day Sweden and any other EU country would be a better place without immigrants from middle east and africa. Muslims cannot be integrated, they will 'integrate' you however. But that's ok, central and eastern europe stand ready for war with them.

I live in Belgium where the elites are enacting a similar program of "diversification". I see them doing this for the following reasons:

1. New different taxslaves, who are supposed to be more controllable then the local stock
2. Patsies which can be burned for the coming collapse

Why a european population would allow this, i really do not know. I don't understand why it is even happening in my own country. The people allow it. It seems they have chosen to give up.

That is not to say we don´t cherish some of the more common swedish traditions (some of which goes a couple of hundred years back in time). Christmas is huge, but not as a christian holiday. New years eve is big aswell. Halloween is big but has traditionally been celebrated in a different way than the US version. Easter is huge aswell, where kids dress up as witches and go around collecting candy. And the big one is Mid summers eve, where se drink schnaps, eat "sill", raise a celebratory pole and sing songs. We also have Cray Fish parties with funny hats and a party where we eat fermented fish.

Wait, so Swedish Easter is like Halloween for the rest of the world? What to you do on actual Halloween?

Not really Halloween since they only dress up as witches on Easter. There are those who trick 'r treat on Halloween but it doesn't really happen that often, there are dress-up parties though.

I'll adress the earlier questions later but I just need to respond to this.

There is a debate to be had about immigration. We don't have infinite resources, we can't take care of everyone fleeing war torn countries (BTW thanks for destabilizing the middle east USA, great idea). There is a point where it becomes too much. Where that point is can be debated.

But assumpions like yours poison the well and make it impossible to keep a discussion grounded in reality.

"Muslims can't integrate" Really? What about the bosniacs and turks and iranians who have come here during the eighties? Noone talks about them anymore because they integrated. In fact, a lot of the Iranians here hate the mullahs in their home country with a passion. Muslims can and have integrated into western society. Things like segragation and concentration of muslims in certain areas work against this, but we can have a realistic conversation about that too.

Halloween is kind of like Halloween in the states, where people wear costumes and go trick or treating. But the Swedish tradition is actually from the beginning "all hallows eve" (I think its called?) where we visit the graves of deceased family member and pay tribute to them. They are usually celebrated a few days apart. Christmas day is not the big celebration btw, in Sweden we give out presents and celebrate on Christmas eve :).

The traditional way of dressing up like witches looks like this, so it looks a lot different from halloween.

There was a christian holiday before halloween called "The night of all saints" where people used to go visit the graves of dead relatives and light candles. But it's been largely replaced with the americal-style halloween which is pretty much exactly like in the US at this point. It's for the better IMO. Our best holidays are the pagan or secular ones anyway like yule or midsummer. I wouldn't bat an eye if the christian ones dissapeared.
We still call christmas by it's pagan name "Jul" or "Yule". And a some of the pagan immagery and traditions have survived, like the yule goats. Scandinavian christmas kicks ass :)

What I worry is that Sweden is acting blissfully ignorant to what is going on around the world. Being accepting doesn't mean you'll get your fair share back. The Swed's can be all defensive, but they're throwing away their value's to people who don't give a crap about that happens. Why is Sweden seen huge spikes in crime's in the last few years. Why are school's  seeing more and more kids failing, skipping classes, crime, and undoubtly not caring about the future? Will those people "contribute". There are already many no go zone's within the country, and people are worried. And as for "integration", opening the gates to million's will fail. People group together, and will try to go against society, its just human.

Now maybe I have no right to say this, since I'm not Swedish. But the country is showing signs of a full blown political collapse. Society is seeing more and more internal pressure. And why now is the government suddenly wanting to deport over 80,000 muslums who didn't get asylum? Many are flooding the country illegally, and will no doubt cause trouble. And even if they do face the prospect of asylum, they simply don't care! Now I have mentioned this before, but look at cologne during new years. A disaster! 100s of calls to the police about crime's! The system nearly collapsed, and it was a disaster! The germans are finally seeing this politically correct BS, but the Swedish just want to keep their happy faces. Well good luck to them...
