Well, at least it isn't just a simple graphical overhaul. Some things are getting fixed just like in Wind Waker HD. But still, Twilight Princess would need MUCH more work into the visual department because the game didn't age good.

Yeah, unfortunately you're right. When Nintendo first showed off this game, they revealed none of the changes and all people saw was the (supposed) minor graphical upgrades that people considered to be not worth a re-release. Now, even after Nintendo has revealed all these changes, people still have it in their mind that this is a "lazy" remaster. It's too bad really.





Other features sound nice, and I think that the open chest feature is nice

I don't use the chest location to see if I've been there before, but even if I maxed out rupees, I most likely won't go back to the dungeon just to get rupees so it's nice to have

The thing is, with remasters like Ocarina 3D, Majora 3D, and Wind Waker HD, Nintendo set a high bar as far as making remasters where the visual overhaul over the original was immediately and hugely noticeable. 

TPHD is more of a "standard" remaster, the kind most companies produce, which means it seems underwhelming compared to Nintendo's usual high standards in this department.

A true remaster of Twilight Princess would need a complete graphical overhaul, making it more of a remake than remaster. That would mean new assets, new character models, new textures, and all of that wouldn't be cheap. It would need at least need a mid level budget and quite more time which could possibly hinder and slow down production of other possible games.  Probably the main reason they outsourced it instead of giving it the in house treatment.

It's filler, basically, yeah.

They don't want to invest too much in it given Wii U's situation.



So when are they going to announce that every time you turn on the game it won't remind you about every value of rupee when you grab them? Because PLEASE.

1. Retexturing is dissapointing, even more with the old lighting.

2. Improved controls, maybe you mean the Gamepad inventory screen? because if you are talking about the motion controls, the GC version didn't have.

3. Never had any problem with Epona and swimming controls.

4. Faster animation is only horizontal. The problem was vertical.

5. Cave of shadows is behind an amiibo, same with the new wallet.

6. Increase ruppe account for a game so easy that you don't money.

7. Never had a problem to left a chest closed. Even more if it is useless money.

8. So, we are now pointing to something that we don't know, like a lantern that could be a resdesign?

9. Half hard mode. The other half is behind Ganondorf amiibo.

10. Less tears to collect? Tears was never a problem. But yay for less content.

11. A real improvement will be no load times as they hinted in the Zelda HD development. Wii U is capable of loading the entire overworld without loading times.

12. A real improvement.

 

Overall, lazy.
