Forums - General Discussion - I am currently getting paid to play on VGChartz

Have you ever gotten paid to play on VGC?

yes 12 33.33%

no 23 63.89%

Total:35

So I work part time as a math tutor at a place where students come in at their leisure. There are typically at least 3 tutors here at a time. Today my shift started at 3:00 PST. It is now 3:55 and not a single student has come in, so I have been sitting here on my phone, getting in arguments with you guys about video games while I'm on the clock getting paid. lol isn't that awesome?

What content do you tutor exactly ?

I'm guessing the students are getting smart enough to not need tutoring anymore these days ...

K-12

So anywhere from basic addition to second semester calculus. Calculus 3 raaaaarely shows up here, but the tutors should be well versed in all math leading up to calculus 1 or 2

lol. The center director as they're called doesn't care if we are on our phones if there are no students here.

Good for you, I guess?

I cant use the chartz at work... so no. :(

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

That's good life!

@Bold I like that one the most out of the series since it's cool ...

I wasn't aware that high schools had a common option to learn integral calculus but is also common learn some vector algebra too ?

It isn't often that they get to calculus 2.you'd have to start algebra 1 in 7th grade, then do geometry, algebra 2, trigonometry, calculus 1, then calculus 2. The vast majority of students will do pre-algebra in 7th, so they wouldn't even have the option of reaching integral calculus. We currently have one student who is enrolled who is taking calculus 2. Vector algebra.. not so much
