To get this discussion back on topic I have to ask you this, what are your views on the refugee crises and what do you think should be done to address the issue? You posted the link to the article but did not actually comment in the discussion.

I personally believe that these governments should not disallow these assylum seekers entirely but I certainly do not think that they should allow more to gain entry than they can:

1. vet properly and thoroughly (some don't even have passports for god's sake)

2. properly monitor and police (I'm hardly authoritarian but we need to keep tabs on recent migrants from crisis points)

3. properly care for (we should never attempt to provide health care or social assistance to more individuals than we can handle)

Edit: fully integrate into our society (how could I forget the most important long-term issue when dealing with foreigners of any kind, especially considering that I do not personally support multiculuralism)

Well, I already did seeing how my grandfather fought against the Nazis in WWII as well as several other relatives in my family. Oh and I'm multiracial with a very diverse heritage. Shockingly all of my ancestors came to America with a drive to adapt to American culture and assimilate. But let's compare everything to Nazis rather than take each situation individually. Let's also act like stricter immigration laws completely isolates us from the world when it does not at all. Last time I checked our biggest traders are China and Canada. It's not as if they would sanction us for it even if the UN gave us crap for it. But no compare everything you dislike to one of the greatest evil's in history because Ka-pi logic

Trump likely wouldn't even get his wishes, but he's the only one on the right wing willing to do anything other than open immigration and amnesty so for that he has gained my respect. I have worked with illegal immigrants as well as Visa workers. I suppose I am suppose to have unweavering empathy for them, but sometimes you have to get a reality check and realize that what the media feeds you is very far from the truth. As far as Muslims well his responses to criticism and clarifications have been forthright enough to let me know his head is in the right place. 

I don't know about suing, but I remember a story a few years back near to where I live where a burglar broke into a house with the homeowner inside the premise. The homeowner defended himself and the burglar was killed. The homeowner was arrested but quickly the case was dropped. I'd like to think anything similar would also be thrown out by the court/judge.

Europe stand united against the barbaric rapefugees, they think they can do whatever they want, they are in Demolition Man's world or something, they have yet to see central and eastern europe, can you imagine something like new year cologne happen there? all barbarians will be hanging from trees same night, guilty or not. You have a problem and really, honestly need to look in a mirror.  I don't even know what to say.  Something is wrong with you.  You intentionally start anargument with insults and then say, "look how poorly you behave," when you're the one who started it with poor behavior?  Look at what you're doing and then tell me you're proud of your behavior.  Man, seriously, think about that.  You are the very person you say you have a problem with.

There are a couple key differences between us. You insulted several other users without provocation whereas I only insulted you. Also, I am willing to confront the fact that my conduct has been inappropriate while you do everything in your power to avoid taking responsibility for your actions. There's nothing wrong with having an unpopular opinion but please stop posting these opinions without backing them up. Please stop dismissing others and using ad hominem and diversionary tactics to avoid discussing the issues. This strikes me as intellectually dishonest and if there is anything I am not, that's it.

Just because a user makes a hyperbolic statement in order to highlight how extreme and indefensible your own position is you should not call it nonsense. Neither should you knowingly strawman them or dismiss what they are saying. Now, I did the same to you (in not so many words) and I apologize. I did so because I was unaware that there have indeed been fatalities directly linked to the use of tear gases such as pepper spray. It was your duty in this debate to provide some evidence to support this claim and you failed to do so. I had to Google it myself and it took mere seconds to find the pertinent information. Why couldn't you do this, you were the one asserting the fact that pepper spray, mace, et al... are potentially fatal? You don't have to agree with me, you don't have to like me, you don't have to think highly of my conduct but at least admit that you can certainly do things to improve how you behave. Again, I'm willing to admit it. I won't escalate again and I'm sorry for having done so.

Edit: Calling my problems with you psychological projection is a glib oversimplification of the situation. Please stop brushing off all valid criticism just because it comes from a source that you can (rightfully) take issue with.

You keep presenting my point as trying to "justify government enforced bans on these sprays" when I've said from the very beginning that I was only trying to show that they have potential for misuse and that was probably responsible for the reasoning behind the illegal status.  Some people were saying, "why would they ban pepper spray," and I was showing what I thought the causes of the decision probably were.  There is nothing wrong with me doing that and it in no way means I'm trying to justify that position.  You keep trying to twist that, which is intellectually dishonest.  You're being antagonistic on purpose and then trying to justify that as, "well, I don't like that person, so I'm going after them because Justice," which comes off arrogant and hypocritical on your part.

As far as pepper spray being responsible for deaths due to respiratory problems and allergies, that had already been brought up, which is why I did not use it as support.  It was already a known part of the conversation.

Relative to my own behavior, I am well aware that I am too quick to anger.  I know that and I've been trying to stay out of political threads.  However, in this case, you were not responding to anything that I think was wrong.  Had you responded to my first post, where I was probably being too dismissive because I took exception to what someone had said previously, then you might have a point.  

Your opening statement exemplifies much of my problem. At no point did I intentionally try to present your stance on this issue as being pro-ban. While I have repeatedly denounced government bans on pepper spray in my responses to you I did not intent to imply that this was your position. I took issue with your assertion that pepper spray is potentially fatal (you were right) and your lack of supporting evidence.

This is the part that really frustrates me, despite challenging your (correct) position and evidence you are again saying that I failed to do so in favor of implying that you were simply pro-ban. I am trying to make you aware that you are, in a way, strawmanning while accusing me of doing the same. I am trying to make you aware of this because while you are nowhere near as bad as before you're still doing it and it's very frustrating. This is the primary reason why I am being (unjustifiably) antagonistic. This is extremely discouraging because I'm not even disagreeing with your original thesis at this point (I concede that pepper spray is potentially fatal).
