Forums - Nintendo Discussion - xenoblade x the flaws of a game

This is the one thing which really bugged me in the game as well. It really made exploring caves frustrating because I could get into battle with some aggressive enemy that was in another room and you couldn't pick up any items or escape from them until you killed them.

Fuck yes, that was incredibly irritating. Enemies were so fucking persistent, and I'd end up having to leave a cave cos I just kept getting stuck in "battle mode" with annoying hordes of low level baddies that just keep coming after me and never gave up. Such a pain in the arse.

@op, man one thing broke my brain so i couldn't even make it that far into the post. You think the game looks unfinished but you gave it a 10/10????? I get it, your enjoying the game, but that doesn't seem very objective.

Ok finished. My opinion, the game is great but i wouldn't give it higher than an 8/10. I LOVE the art direction, story seems cool so far and the characters are lovable (especially the dynamic between lin and tatsu), but this is easily the most complicated game i've ever played. I don't need hand holding in a game but even learning everything is a pain. It actually feels like work getting into it. Did you know you can switch characters? don't know how, but you can. I got lost in nla pretty easily and didn't know you could fast travel. How could i not know that? Because there are like 5 different ways (map modes) to look at the map. Thats crazy. I'm pretty sure you can't explore 15% of primordia without taking on a sidequest. Why not just say "go do this side quest" as a requisite for chapter4? Instead i was searching primordia for 2 hours looking for the last of the stuff i couldn't find. I really don't want to do any side quests at first. I want to experience the story. Lastly, i'm really waiting for more enemy types that aren't wild life. They say right at the beginning that they don't want to mess with the planet too much and only focus on tyrants. I really like that kind of thinking. But, i need to level up and don't want to just go kill unsuspecting wildlife. Need more pig looking aliens to kill. Maybe they could have more enemy outposts to populate. That'd been cool.
Again, i'm really enjoying the game now, but man it just seems like it has a very low accessibility level. It's not a game i can recommend to any gamer. Pretty niche. Art style and exploration are easily the selling points.
All that being said, time to go play some more.

its probably a good game but this

makes it unplayable

"2. the aceptable thing like walking trough enemies or shooting trough bricks and rocks is clearly because the game was not finished. im sure they were planning to fix that. but somehow they decided to make the game bug and glitch free rather then polishing a few minor(major to some of you) things."

This was one of the things I hate the most but love as well becase eventhough in battle mode a lot of enemies were annoying firing at me from nowhere I could fire at difficult ones through walls and I could beat them easily!

This becomes annoying when the enemy is actually stronger.

Maybe for you, it is stupidily little but I have no big problems with it on my TV, unplayable is an absolute hyperbole.

being run by a car and other stuff mentioned in the OP is fine with me.  that font size, they haven't fit it.  I can't really play from a bit far which is the biggest flaw for me.

The font size isn't great, but it's the font itself that makes it such a problem. At the same size, a different font would be entirely readable.

The biggest demonstration of the problem with the font is that, even at a decent size, it's still difficult to distinguish between "o" and "a". If they tweaked the font, the size wouldn't be an issue, in my opinion.

None of the clipping stuff or font size bothered me. It's smaller, but not too small.

The issues that bothered me:
1. Not being able to pick up items during battle.
2. No fast recruit system.
3. Too many quests with unclear paths to the objectives like "use weapon x to defeat these specific types of enemies" or "Collect 80 ultra rare gem-rocks somewhere in Oblivia."

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

They should really fix it. The only game that I need to come near to my TV just to read it.  Why not use the same font as XC
