dude you guys mario ultra tennis is actually a good fuckin game seriously. i was just playing it and i like it. we played six games in five sets and every set that someone loses, they had to drink and mixed drink and i got hella fucked up. its only 2 sets to 1 right now but still. ill let you guys know how it turns out. are there games that VGC says you shouldnt play but you still like them? cuz i like this game

the actual gameplay and mechanics of playing a basic game of tennis are fun but thats really all there is too the game. its not a mediocre game because of the gameplay its a mediocre game because theres only like 3 modes

Ultra Smash is actually really fun. The core gameplay is probably the best of the series with the added jump shots and whatnot. Sure, it doesn't have a ton of modes or polish but it doesn't bother me any since the fun factor is higher than expected.

I also got Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival which can be fun too. I've only played 3 games so far and it might end up boring but as of now, I'm enjoying it. It's probably really bland unless you're a big AC fan tho because the humor & charm is only gotten if you like the actual series.

I ended up buying the game boy color Mario Tennis because it had a fun RPG campaign along with mini games and multiplayer with cpu. No local multiplayer though... I'm also currently stuck against this green person in the first tournament. Game got really hard all of the sudden...

jk, I actually do think that, from what I've seen, the core gameplay is fun. But the lack of content, soul, and creativity makes it a mediocre experience, all in all.

I've heard the only problem with Ultra Smash is lack of content. Other than that it's apparently really fun.

I still need to get around to playing the gbc game but I love the gba Mario tennis. If ultra smash had a rpg mode like the handheld games I'd buy it for full price in a heart beat

The game is fun, but lacks content so badly, it's almost embarrasing. For a 40€ game it's a robbery, that's what TP hd costs, and though it's a remaster, the game is "huge" in comparison.
