Forums - Politics Discussion - Should Trump Become President?

Vote for Trump, get ready for war and depression like we've never seen. You can't be President and you don't know when to tame your tongue. He's foolish and ignorant. If our nation votes him in, we're not going to be safe. War will break out and Trump is quite good at provoking people. I pray that this man doesn't enter our office. It'd be really disgusting and foolhardy of the American people.

For the sake of the world I hope not....

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

I have not heard or seen any of policies because he has none. All he does is spout the most asinine rhetoric over and over again plus he's an absurd bigot and being of color makes voting for a racist moron against my best interest

Wouldn't mind seeing America become the laughing stock of the world.

Would be best not to, but there would be some comedy value in it at least.

I'm pretty sure they already are.

Russia, China, Iran is running circles around the US and Trump would just be the coup de grace.

On a positive side, Fallout 5 will be a realistic experience without the need of VR.

Russia, China, and Iran are runnign circles around the US.

VGC is in incredible form today.

The simple answer is no...

As said before, here in the UK we don't want the racist, homophobic, xenophobic arsehole coming to our country =/= this does not equal to someone who should even be in the running for the position!!

The US would benefit the most from Sanders as president but sadly I think the majority of the people are a bit to dumb to do what's best for them. Trump is a neo-nazi so I think the best of all would be Clinton.

If Paul is your first choice, why is Trump your avatar? Look, you're obviously pleading a case for Trump here and, thankfully, it looks like most people in this thread think he is the scum of the earth. Maybe there is still hope for America.

It you want World War 3, sure, go ahead.

Trump would be a trainwreck. A good deal of what he has proposed would more than likely be deemed unconstitutional if he ever tried to put it in to practice (like banning Muslims entering the US).
If he raised import duties like he wants to, the rest of the world would do the same for American exports which would have a severe impact on American trade.
Then there the wall on the Mexican border that he wants Mexico to pay for. Just the logistical implications of building that make it clear that he hasn't got a clue.

He reminds me of the current Greek leader who when he was first elected pretty much insulted all of the other European leaders whilst at the same time demanding that they provide more money to bail out his country. The results were not pretty.

I'd say "good god no."

Leaving aside that none of his big proposals would pass if he introduced them, the man is an idiot. I'm not talking about his policies or his beliefs, I mean the man is just painfully uninteligent. And I do feel like the seat of 'most powerful person in the in the world' on paper, should probably be reserved for the people in our society with the biggest brains. It's just a shame the way the campaigning process works doesn't seem to proritise intelect.

Whenever I bring that up, I usually get a lot of anti-intelectualistic sentiment thrown at me. Which baffles me. Who the hell can be against wanting the dude in charge to be smart as they can be as opposed to as dumb as they can be?

Knowledge is not something to be feared - ignorance is.
