Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Xbox360 - worth buying new?

Hello,

I am thinking about buying a new system, and i would prefer a 360.

Info:

- i have a ps4 with 50± games

- i had a 360, but sold it 2 years ago to buy a ps4

It is just tempting cause when i think back, 360 was always my favorite. I miss the games.

I plan to get some race games, gears of war, no halo (really hate it), some nice rpgs (i loved lost odyssey), deadspace, bioshock, skyrim.

What really makes me think is the price. I plan to buy all games used, just the system new. Makes in sum 200€.

Were I in your situation I would probably buy a used one and just make sure it was one of the later more reliable models.

Enough of the 360's essential library is going BC on X1. If you really care enough to enjoy Xbox games, might as well get the X1 at this point.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Sure why not, also since the 360 now supports external HDD up to 2TB you can buy the cheapest model. If you go the used route be sure to buy a 360S or newer model those are pretty solid when it comes to build quality. I have a early 360S model and it still works pretty good.

at this point? imo no.
Would sell whatever remaining games you have (for the xb360), and put that towards newer titles.

You had it already? Just think back to how much you enjoyed it. It feels slower and more cumbersome but if you can get it for cheap, go for it. You know what you want to play.

Good system with lots of games.

Go for it.

I LOVE ICELAND!

Aren't almost all of the top 360 games available on the XBox One now anyways?

No not even close so far less the 10% of the 360 library has show up on the X1.

I still have my Xbox 360 and while it works, the disc drive is broken, so I have to use a paer clip to swap discs. I was thinking of getting a new one and using it as a Netflix/media player on the extra TV set but every time I look up the price for a new 360, I always think, "that's a few more games I could be getting for my XB1 and PS4". I don't want to buy one used because ofthe issues that comes with that.

I think eventually, I will pick up a new 360 as I still play older games on both PS3 and 360.
