Finally got some time to play again, so let's continue. If you haven't already, check the previous part   Quick reminder, I'm writing my let's play as if I was Luke (the main protagonist).

                                                                                                                    Part 3

I did as Jade said and I talked with some soldier, and just as I expected they gave me no information at all (seriously why is everyone so useless around here!) In the end I just decided to help Jade and Ion, after all they are heading to my home so they are the best way to get there.

Finally Jade started to explain the situation with more details, apparently war between Malkuth and Kimlasca is imminent so  the ruler of Malkuth, Peony, wrote a letter to try to reach peace between the kingdoms. Fon Master Ion agreed to be the impartial ambassador, however another faction within the order of lorelai, lead by Grand Maestro Mohs, wants the war to develope, fortunately Ion was able to espace from Mohs thanks to the Malkuth army. Tear then interrupted the conversation and said that Grand Maestro would never do something like that, clearly she knows stuff she hasn't shared but whatever. Just because Jade put me through a lot of trouble, I told him that if he wanted my help he should talked to me as loyalty and not as some dirty peasant, and so he bowed down to me and asked for my help the way he should have in the first place.

After our conversation was over I went for a walk, found Jade, talked to him and all of a sudden monsters attacked the ship. Soldiers reported that Griffens were leading the attack, not only that but they were also dropping Lingers on the ship. I wasn't in the mood to deal with those thing again so I tried to get the hell out of there but this giant guy called Largo the black lion stopped me. He is on of the "six god-generals" of the Oracle Knights (that the group Master Van leads), he also called Jade "the necromancer". 

The battle between those two started, Largo used a device called "fon slot seal" on Jade to block his fonic arts. Things were looking pretty bad, however with the help of Tear and Mieu (yes, that annoying little thing actually helped) Jade was able to overcome his lack of fonic arts and he stabbed Largo, killing him in the process. 

I was pretty shocked, Jade killed that dude like it was not a big deal, how can someone dispose of another human live with such ease? There wasn't time to wonder that, because Anise left to help Ion so Jade asked Tear and I to help him regain control of the ship.

We fought some monster before we got to the bridge, once there Tear used a fonic hymn to put a guard to sleep, then she and Jade went inside to do who knows what but they told me to stay behind. Probably they were going to do some weird fonic stuff but still that's not excuse to leave me behind with freaking Mieu! 

While I was waiting for Tear and Jade I started to play with Mieu (literally with him, I was swinging him around) and I accidentally woke up the guard. I had to fight him and I killed him. I was shocked, and before I had time to realize what I just did someone knocked me out.

Tear woke me up, Jade was there too, we were captured and locked in a cell. Jade told us we had to get out of here to help Ion, I hesitated because I don't want to fight people again, to be in that situation again. Tear and Jade tried to explain this whole mess with a speech but to hell with them! they are used to this type of situations. They told me that if I didn't want to fight I should stay behind to avoid getting in their way but of course I'm going to let them treat me like that so I told them I was going to fight too.

Jade used his codename "necromancer" to activate an emergency shutdown, that way while the soldiers try to repair the ship we escape. He found our equipment and we began our search for an exit since the elevator was not an option because of the shutdown. We found some gunpowder in the last room and thanks to Mieu (once again proving he can be useful sometimes) we blew up a hole in the wall that allowed us to get outside.

Once outside we headed to the port hatch were we waited to ambush the knights once they showed up again with Ion. After a while a woman and Ion showed up so we began our attack, Jade attacked the woman, with the help of Mieu (that's three time he has been useful, something is wrong) I hit a guard and Tear was about to use a fonic hymn on the woman, which she identified as Legretta, (they know each other, probably because Tear was with the oracle knight too) when another knight named Arietta showed up and turned the tables in their favor once again.

Things once again started to look pretty bad, however my bro Guy came out of nowhere and with his help we were able to take down Legretta and Arietta. Once the fight was over I asked Guy what he was doing here and he told me he started looking for me as soon as I dissapered, Ion then told us that Anise was thrown out of the ship when she was trying to help him. Before she left, Jade told her to meet him in St. Binah if things went wrong, and they did because the oracle knights took the ship and killed most of the Malkuth soldiers aboard so now we have to find another way to get to Kimlasca.

On the way to St. Binah Ion collapsed because he used his weird fonic arts once again, Jade wasn't going to risk his health so he told us to take a break. While I was talking to Guy some oracle knights showed up and attacked us. We took care of them easily, however when I was told to kill one of them I hesitated and the knight stood up, he was going to kill me but Tear saved me and Guy finished him, unfortunately Tear got hurt and it was because of me...

Later that night, I talked to everyone about what happened, Tear said I shouldn't feel bad, as a soldier it's her duty to protect civilians like me and she getting injured means she has to be more careful. Guy told me something strange about him not wanting to die because of revenge, he said he was kidding but I'll keep his words  in my mind. Ion sympathized with me since he never fights but clearly he understands the situation and why killing is neccesary better than me. Jade also understood my dilema and he said there was nothing wrong with the way I acted today (that surprised me a lot). After I finished talking with them I went to sleep.

The next morning he continued our way to St. Binah but Guy and the other said we were going to change formations so I could avoid the fights, and I didn't like that. I told them I wasn't going to be useless (I'm not Mieu!) and that I was willing to take the responsability that comes with killing someone, so if I have to then yeah I'm going to take another human life.

We finally reached St. Binah, however the oracles knight were already there guarding the entrance. They anticipated us, and when we tought there was no way in a wagon from Engave came by to deliver food supplies, the driver told the guard that another wagon was coming so we intercepted it and told them to let us hide in the back, lucky for us the mayor of the village, Rose, was in that wagon and since she still felt bad about the whole thief situation she let us hide.

We made it inside, now it's time to meet with Anise but first I have to take a break in the inn.

Fifth session of The Abyss: It's Guy the guy, the amazing Guy! What a guy!

After finding our gear, Jade says that we should find a special room. Once we found it, it turns out there's a box full of gunpowder. What is a box full of gumpowder doing on a random room of the ship? Apparently someone stole it. Go figure. Jade plans to use it to blow the walls up and to escape. Luke is scared of the idea, because there is a box as big as the characters, and if it's even half full, it could hurt them as musch as the ship. But they do it anyway. They set up the explosion annnnnndddd... it goes puff. And a hole on the wall appears. Aparently noone hearsthe explosion  either, so they go out and find a ladder that leaves them on the deck. After grinding with all the monsters on the ship (poor ligurs, they just want to eat, and because of the cheagles, their queen is gone. Awww) the team goes into a room and wait for their enemy to appear. Moments later, we see that a gun lady has captured Ion. Wait, are there hand guns in this world, and people still use swords? Odd. Luke surprises a guard with a fireball from Mieu to the face! And then we start the action!

Jade throws his lance against gunlady, they complement each other and manage to briefly rescue Ion. But a big monster appears and distracts the team, enough to corner the heroes and to lose Ion again. All seems lost when... Guy! It's him! It's that guy called Guy! Out of nowhere he appears from the ship. He jumps into gunlady (Master Legrieta), rescues Ion and blocks the bullets Legrietts shoots at him! Yeah! jade manages to take the little pink-haired kid that went with Legrietta (called Arrieta), and force the villains into being trapped into the broken Tartarus. Guy saved the day!

When they regroup, they realize their friend Alisse has been lost, and decide to go to the town of Saint Binah for her. Guy joins the party. Ion is exhausted after all of this, so they take a break to rest. Also, Guy has fear of women, when he sees Tear he inmediately freaks out. They are attacked by some grunts and we have a fight. Luke is hesitant about killing his enemies, and when he fails to deliver the final blow on one of them, Tear has to save him from the danger. That night, he has a bit of an inner debate about the morality of killing people, even during war. The next day, he says he won't hesitate anymore, but that's yet to be seen.

They arrive to Saint Binah, town that is heavily guarded. Luckily, they find some friends that are willing to smuggle them into the town (what is with all this series of fortunate events today?). And with that, the search for Anisse begins. More other day.

It's good to see this thread is still going on. I've finished the game, so I'll be eager to hear your guys' thoughts as you play thru it : D

Same I also finished it a few days ago. St Binah is an interesting area (be sure to burn the poster near the item shop!) so will be intriguing to see how you find it from here.

Sixth session of The Abyss: See? I told you killing the Ligur Queen was a bad idea!

After arriving to the lovely town of Saint Binah in search of Anisse, two important things happen. One, we see almost all of the six eventual bosses of the game: Arrieta, Legretta and Largo (the guy with a sythe) we already knew of them. Two new appear, a guy named Sync whith something on its face (Gurren Lagan glasses, maybe? My 3DS screen is too small. Next console I buy the XL model) and a another ona called  Dist. Dist looks like he can teleport and always moves with his chair, but he gets ignored by the rest. After they are gone from the city, Luke and the rest go to the town authorities to ask for help. They find a letter from Anisse: she saw the army on Saint Binah and decided to go elsewhere. In particular, the town of Kaitzur (gesundheit). So after I buy new gear, staying a night at the inn and trying to burn all the posters of the city trying to find something (with no avail, sorry Cone, I didn't found it), we go to Kaitzur.

After grinding for a while, we arrive to the Fubras River. Kaitzur is on the other side, and the bridge is too damaged, so the team has to find a way to cross. Just follow the rocks, burn all the hidden treasures, grind with all the monsters... And Arietta finds us! Oh, no! But she's just a child and she looks scared! Why is she so determined to capture us? Well, as it turns out, she was raised by the ligures of the Cheagle Woods. And when Luke and company killed the Liger Queen, they inadvertedly killed her mother figure!!

SEE, PEOPLE, SEE!? I told you killing the Ligur Queen was a bad idea! Now we have to fight for our lives against Arrieta! But suddenly an earthquake and some poison gas takes care of her, and the group can escape. Thanks to some special fonic arts Tear is able to do. Shield powers!

But after all of that, we arrive to Kaitzur. The team inmediately finds Anisse trying to go through the border without papers, and they reunite. They talk for a while discussing how are they going to cross when suddenly, the Dark Luke Doppelganger appears and tries to kill Luke! And when he tries to finnish him off, Master Van appears and saves Luke! What!? Will be able to ask him all the questions we had? We talk to him and says he knows nothing about all this kerkuffle, but I don't believe it. Will we discover the truth soon? Maybe other day, I have a headache today.

Ahaha, Dist the Runny.. That guy is a barrel of laughs xD I kinda feel sorry for him too...
