Forums - Nintendo Discussion - The ONLY reason I'm buying Twilight Princess HD is because I never played it before.

The Twilight Princess HD looks VERY dissapointing when compared to the Gamecube version! and there's almost no difference between the Wii and Wii U graphics UNLESS you really look super closely to them side by side. But if I played Twilight Princess 10 years ago, i wouldn't even touch the HD version.  I heard Twilight Princess is VERY good! and it's the ONLY 3D Zelda game I haven't played yet. Since I'm excited for Zelda U and have lots of time. Why not get the HD version?! AND we don't have to deal with those shitty motion controls either.  So I think it's the PERFECT time to get it. But I STILL criticize Nintendo for just upscalling the game to 1080p and giving it more texture then calling it a "HD" remake. What a joke.

Who said the motion controls were shitty? Personally, I loved them. The sword swinging might have been mostly waggle, but I thought it was fun. Plus, aiming with the bow and slingshot with motion controls is MUCH better and the shield bash with the nunchuk is cool.

I started to play it before nintendo announce the HD version. Now I have to play the tutorial again... :(

I hate to be the guy to start this debate again, but seriously, I thought the controls in Skyward Sword were amazing. And I don't normally like motion controls

I'm not saying you can't like them, but they, namely the motion plus, was clearly forced, what with it being used where the analog stick or IR pointer woulda made more sense.

The HD version does look much better, might just buy the Amiibo version and never open it :)

My favorite LoZ game. I'm buying it even though I still have it for Gamecube. Hope it's as good as I remember.

Definitely should try it. It's my favorite 3d zelda (have all of them except wind waker).

I barely played it so I will probably be getting the HD remaster.

Idk if it's price has fallen, but if you can find the Wii version for $20 I'd just do that honestly. The motion controls aren't Skyward Sword levels of bad, infact using the Bow/Boomerang/Hookshot/etc. is actually better thanks to them.

Are you joking? The motion controls in TP were before motion plus, meaning it was a waggle stick and they were terrible. The MC in SS were fantastic and that was the (along with Metroid prime) defining game for motion controls. I LOVED having a 1:1 control over the sword in that game. It was amazing and I'll miss it going in the future.

I don't like reading your OP's, but going by the thread title I'd answer: "Good choice", because it's a terrific game.

Though I agree with people saying it's not the best remaster, we have to think that it's not the same as other remasters. I think there is more sense with this remaster rather than last of us for example. At least tlou plays almost the same as ps3 controller, but with TP we had that awful controller. At least we can experience the game fine with the gamepad (I passed on the gamecube, so everyone who played that will have maybe even less reasons to buy it).
But also as others have mentioned, the game looks horrible in a hd tv. Last year I tried to start tp again on my 21" hd tv and the game looked so bad, I can't even imagine how bad it would look on my new 42" I have now.
Those two reasons alone are enough for me to buy it, though I'm not blind, I understand every complaint about this remaster.
