Forums - Nintendo Discussion - GDC Survey Shows Declining Interest From Developers in Wii U and 3DS

Well, this makes a lot of sense.

Around the Network

Not surprising since both are near the end of their lives. I think everybody is waiting for the NX to analyze if they'll give it a try or not.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Honestly, I'm starting to lose interest in Wii U as well, I wanna hear more details about NX already.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Not really that much of a surprise. One is a console that doesn't sell that much and the other is a nearly 5 year old handheld in a market dominated by smartphones.

Interesting to see VR so high, since I don't think it will appeal much to a mainstream audience given talks about it's pricing and whatnot.

Holy shit! Really?!?!?! What's the next topic you're going to start? How about
"Attention, Water is Wet"

Thats kind of obvious.I mean, VR is getting alot of atention due to being the next great new innovation, and on Nintendo side, there is the NX.Not to mention Wii U total sales and 3DS declining, yet good, sales.Of course interest would decline

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Lol, from 6% to 5%

Makes sense though because of the impending NX annoucement

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

The article seems more like rubbing salt into a wound considering it's almost assumed no one cares about developing for two platforms that are about to be replaced.

To be fair, that's just american devs.

Nintendo's gotta give these guys incentive. That's all it takes really. Get some smart men in charge of NOA and let them have the power to broker deals and make business decisions and good things will happen. Now that they have a new president, hopefully this starts to happen.
