Forums - Gaming Discussion - Blast from the past - what console gives you your fondest gaming memories?

GBA and Gamecube. Also the PS1/PS2... Even though we got rid of those at one point. Unfortunately. I don't even know why. Lol

I was going to say N64, but SNES is goat.

The SNES and the PS1.

The PS2. All of those RPGs.... The cherry on top was that I could play PS1 games if I wanted.

SNES and N64 are tied for me both of them so many memories

but honestly PC is up there too I played a lot of PC games back in the day - Diablo 2, WoW, Unreal Tournament, Halo CE a ton of free games

PC, N64 and SNES all have a ton of great memories for me

PS1 and N64. Both contained genre defining(Metal Gear Solid, Tenchu, Super Mario 64, Goldeneye, Gran Turismo, FF7, Ocarina of time etc) and revolutionary titles. To me the SNES/Genesis were good but mostly just beat em ups, side scrollers, 2d platformers etc.

Atari 2600.

My grandmother bought it for me back in like 1981, for Christmas, one year. I still have memories of us playing Basketball, Combat, and Surround, together. It was hard times for my family back in the 80's, like it was for many people, so i never expected that i'd actually get one, considering the times and the retail price of roughly $199, which would be roughly $745 in the market today.

N64, I will just say Zelda OoT, Golden Eye 007, Pilot Wings, Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Banjo Kazooie...foloved closly by PS1 with Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, Silent Hill, Twisted Metal, Metal Gear...really so many great games and revolutionary titles in single generation on only two console, I think that generation of consoles was best generations ever in gaming and I am so glad I was part of it.

I agree. Most mmo's nowadays are ruined because casuals don't want pvp in their servers do you remember in WoW if you played it back then how on the PVP you could literally kill anyone at any place you wanted to. Nowadays they have NPC guards that will come and kill you it's retarded and It takes the fun out of it. I remember having some of the funniest memories in WoW when I rallied up like 30 other players that sucked like I did and we went and took over northshire. Then we had constant alliance vs horde going on and nowadays you can't do any of that in any game. because casuals bitch and complain.

Diablo 3 was a massive dissapointment.

PC games now just seem to be lacking something but, I don't what it is. It's just not the same.
