Forums - Gaming Discussion - Do "Easy" Platinum's stain your trophy list or make you feel ashamed?

I dismiss someones trophy list if there is obvious whoring goin on...

Yes 20 13.33%

No. 89 59.33%

Only if there is a high r... 24 16.00%

I have no opinion....on anything...ever... 17 11.33%

Total:150

First and foremost you should enjoy the game even if its an easy platinum. Don´t care what people say.

It's sad but I actually feel the same. xD
I can't respect trophy hunter's when I see games like Terminator Salvation in their list.
But I don't care if the platinum trophy was easy or hard as long as it is not a shitty game which was only bought for the trophies. ^^

I just play a game to have fun with a game. I have never really cared about trophies or achievements, nor have I ever really pursued them. Easy or hard.

A platinum is fine, my issue comes from the games I play, don't like but earn 1 trophy from. They sit there with the insulting 'Bronze' on my list and I can't get rid of it. I really don't care if I completed part of the tutorial in Grid 2, Grid 2 was crap.

Oh, this, 100%. I try a lot of games, and some of them just end up being total garbage...yet the stain of their shitty existence remains on my trophy list. Wish you could delete games from the list with 5% or less completion, rather than only at 0% completion. (Grid 2 is also permanently on my trophy list with one bronze...)

As for why I look at trophies - I tend to only look at trophy lists to sort of gauge someone's play style (Do they go out of their way for 'stunt' trophies? Pure bulldoze through the campaign? Just multiplayer? A bit of both? Do they actually beat campaigns or platinum games?). Some of my friends play some obscure Japanese stuff too, so I like to nose around to see anything I might be interested in trying. I look at trophies when playing games because I've found hunting trophies, particularly 'stunt' trophies, to just enhance the experience. Often I'd never have thought to do some things in games without some silly bronze trophy with a "Do this one thing in a really outlandish and spectacularly dumb fashion."

As a followup to my previous post, just got my first plat. Took 58 hours for Dragon Quest Heroes.

Lloyd is not a playable character, though xP.

You are talking about Lavitz, and it's probably his fourth addition, Gust of Wind Dance, because people seems to really have trouble with it in the beginning xP (even as it's third is Rod Typhoon, and it you are mentioning its last name, it should not be it because it's really simple)

There could be a trophy to "connect a hit on Lloyd into the Hero competition" because nobody would ever get it xP
Also Lloyd is mentioned as Platinum Hair in the second chapter name, so the Platinum trophy could be a pun with him.

It would be nice if it gets trophies like PS2 games are getting now on PS4, I would like one to be about beating Faust without any of the Dragon armors or any top quality gear (the 10.000G items), because then people would need to face him and get some actual challenge while doing it.

See what I mean? Way too long since I last played it.

Who was it that replaces Lavitz, then?

That's Albert.

Wait, then who's the guy in the can?

Does anyone really care that much about trophy lists?

This is difficult to understand to me. Does the "lvl" have an meaning? All i care about plats is to complete everything a game i really like offers. Its like a "i love this game" mark. But, what do i care what others have? Seems lol worthy to me.

Telltale games mess up with it though. But well... thats what those games are. Just interactive movies. If you watch it all its over.

With A wolf among us at least you had to play every chapter twice, still, would be nice if they added actual gameplay to there games (same with Quantic Dream and now SMS) how hard can it be to add a puzzle here or there or a mini game or two, really? They went to far with TWD and GoT, by any chance do youknow what the trophies for Life is strange are? That game is a step in the right direction and I hope Telltale are watching.. I still do love point and click adventures when they have actual gameplayy elements though.

No idea. I suppose they are better. GoT was the only telltale game i ever bought and i was not impressed. I hate these interactive movies with no gameplay. I actually find it a bummer to have to make decisions. If we are doing this it might aswell just be a complete interactive movie rather than pretending to be a game. I would have a better time with them... oh well.

My Xcom Enemy Unknown and Xcom Enemy within Plats erase any shameful plats (especially that impossible difficulty trophy on first xcom the nightmares).

I really want a remaster of this! Cause I'm pretty sure we arn't getting a new one on PS4, such a pity.

Its meant to be coming to Vita but all has gone quiet

That's what I mostly do, though.
I only have 2 Platinum trophies into my main account, have like 6 or 7 in the account of the friend I usually play with at his place (and when we have nothing to play we go hunt some trophies) and a lot of other random trophies into other friends accounts as well.

Never saw you trolling sony and pretending to have a lot of their games.

Eh, I know you are not talking about me, but I'm giving you the example that it doesn't necessarily have to be "pretending".
There is people like that, and I'm one of those, I play a lot into my friends PS3s, and I have even the most of my Platinums not on my account as well.

In my account I only have Assassin's Creed II, which I got just to make it stop having nothing and Demon's Souls which I got to have one I really could be proud of having. But I've also Platinuem Assassin's Creed 4, Resident Evil 5 and 6, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 and 3, Watch_Dogs and God of War 3 (which was the first Platinum I ever got when I still didn't had a PS3 myself).

That kind of people exists

Yes they do.. but one thing is to not have a platinum (or few), another is having less than 10 trophies and alegating to be a heavy player, those would be really odd points in the curve. And when the person is a know troll then I have 0 tolerance. The person was trolling a lot saying how the PS games were bad, and when called out he said he was no troll and that owned the system and played all those games... when I located his profile account and saw very few trophies and asked him he said he played in a friend.

Hey, just wondering how the hell you plat'd resogun? The game has some damn near impossible trophies. Am I missing something about this game? Everyone seems to have it and many who aren't particularly into trophies. I've been playing arcade games like this since the 90's...wtf...

Yeah, I agree that percentage of Resogun platinum is bigger than a lot of much easer games. Maybe because the game is awesome, so the big part of gamers do not abandon it early. Look at Souls games platinum %. It's SOO huge. I don't think the games are so easy.
