I don't know how, but the Pokemon Company actually managed to get time for a super bowl commercial this year.

 

Considering it's the 20th anniversary, they're probably going to show the evolution of pokemon and whatnot. I think this is pretty cool. However, I'm sure some people won't give a damn

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

Yeah, I heard they paid 5 Million for a 30 second ad. Pokemon is big, but Super Bowl big? Maybe not.

I dunno, but then again, ads are very expensive :/

As a fan of American football (I'm not from the US so we call that football "American football") and Pokémon as well I'm excited to read this. If they show a new game or maybe a new movie would be interesting to watch.

Hey, if My Little Pony of all things can get 5 seconds in a super bowl ad, I'm sure Pokemon would have no problem getting a 30 second ad. xD

I'm guessing this is for the mobile Pokemon game they unveiled a few months back.

Mobile games now have way more TV marketing than regular video games. I see more ads for mobile than PS + XBox + Nintendo combined x3.

What have I been saying for years?  "Pokemon is becoming Nintendo's version of Madden."  I bet they even have Pikachu wearing a little helmet and catching a Pokeball pass from Squirtle.  

Wait until some kid puts thousands of dollars worth of Pokemon upgrades on his dad's credit card.  Gonna be some fun times on VGC.

Last football game I watched had several ads for mobile games.  They're obviously trying to push the market.  One of them even featured Arnold Schwarzenegger, which means they put some serious money into it.
