Garaph is outdated. Skyward Sword has sold 349,143 copies as of December 29, 2013 (Famitsu). |
It's true that it is outdated (the person who runs it stopped updating years ago) and i should have said that in the beggining. For some reason i had the idea that Skyward Sword got out in 2010 and didn't see the date on the link i posted apart the last update (Jan 2012) so i thought this was the end. Thanks for correcting me. 350k is solid sales. It has a similar performance to the Souls games.

Yeah... it sold 2 x what XB1 did in 2015, but apparently that is still being tracked while Vita TV isnt.
*shrug*

No, Media Create track SKU's separately (see: 4 versions of 3DS in their chart). They've just stopped tracking it.
iirc, Dengeki stopped at the end of 2014, so it's not surprising. I'm more surprised that all of these trackers continue to show XB1 is all, since it's selling such negligible amounts. Seems to contradict what they did with Vita TV (which is also negligible amounts, but still higher).
How come they didn't said anything though? I think when they stopped tracking 360, Wii, PS2, PSP they had some kind of a statement like ''we will stop reporting numbers for X system''.

Why have a good day sir, did I offend you? It's hard to tell over text. By the way I'm not trying to downplay anything, please understand. If those games are only selling in the low hundreds of thousands, that isn't a good sign that the home console (PS4) market is doing well imho. We can't pretend like sales are good when they aren't. I'm not sure but I think that a few gens ago those kinds of sales were not considered good. I could be wrong. |
Have a good day because this seems very much like one of those times were the discussion is futile. However I will give you this little hint:
Expectations vary. 200k may be good for some games, bad for others IF you expect CoD to sell Final Fantasy numbers then, well, you are crazy, no offense.

What a shame. :(

No, I expect it to sell what it sells. 200k-300k is what I expect it to sell, and imho it's low. Do you have anything to say about it or will we fill the thread with hot air? 200k is good for some games, games we expect to sell low. So good = low. And low = not good. So use the term you want, what I'm trying to say is that the western games are selling relatively low, and I am wondering what the big push is. To further the argument, these games were selling less in the previous iterations and keep selling more because they keep getting pushed. I'm not sure this is a valid way to do things. It is my opinion that games in the past have sold more, and to say that these games are selling fine because "look at how games are selling today" is a poor argument. No need to call anyone crazy. |
Geez you really didn't read anything from what i wrote didn't you? I am feeling bad now, not for you but for me that i lost time with you. What we are discussing is not a matter of opinions. It's a matter of facts. Anyway, i won't lost more time discussing this with you. It's clear that you have a tunnel vision that won't change no matter it is said.
Just don't expect anyone to agree with you. You won't find a single person that understands a bit the japanese market that will say ''yeah you are right''.

Likely because the XB1 will keep selling around that much as long as games keep coming out for it and the PS4 together. Vita TV continues to sell less.
