Forums - Gaming Discussion - FFXV: Cities of big Scale, Combat Modes, and Aerial Battles

Tagged games:

- Altissia has many and varied locations, such as multiple cafes, ship-bourne market places and parks etc. The city is of a considerable scale, to the extent that even the developers sometimes get lost there! The player is free to take a leisurely walk around the complex maze of streets, or ride the gondola to see the sights and there is also added enjoyment to be had looking for restaurants to visit!

- The equivalent to difficulty level settings in FFXV is a system where you can switch between different battle modes. By having this ability to switch modes, we want to make it so that both players who like action oriented, technical gameplay and also those who want to fight at a slower, more relaxed pace can all enjoy the combat in their own style. This switching system is a key part of the gameplay

-  It is not just the buildings though, and we have also created exciting aerial battles with flying foes and gigantic boss enemies, so watch out for those.

Got to admit, got excited like a little child while reading this I like the sounding of the battle modes especially.
More info about will be coming by the end of the month. Don't expect full scale reveal and release date until March though.

Nice can't wait for this game

EPIC is the only word to describe this game ...

That single screenshot up top wow'd me. Like, I actually thought that that was an actual high-res photograph of some place in real life. Christ.

Sounds really good. I hope that this releases on NX as well as PS4 and XB1.

Altissia is one of the major cities in the game. it is based on the city of Venice in Italy. I always wanted to go there

One for console (which I will get day 1)

One for PC (for future and to record/modify)

Just like how I have FFType-0 HD for PS4 (which I finished few days ago!) - will be getting the Steam version in the future ;3

Dedication. :B

There's something really weird with this game: all I hear from it sounds great, but then I play the Episode Duscae and I hate it.

Episode Duscae is the bare minimum, and even the combat underwent big changes like the manual weapons switching and battles modes. Character lack real progress and development. The area lack different objectives, The combat has limited weapon and skills, lack of equipments, also lack of party control ( gambit system ) and magic. It is a teaser of what to come and should be taken just like that. it is only 3 hours long after all. No context to it. I understand why some people don't like it. All the great things you hear about weren't included in Duscae, no?

Of course that doesn't mean everyone will like the full game. But it is promising to say at least.
