For the past few years, Nintendo has forgone the traditional E3 press conference in favor of having a digital presentation. I was wondering, since Nintendo will likely be announcing new hardware at E3 2016, will they continue to have a digital event, or will they go back to the traditional press conference (like how they showed off the Wii U in 2012). In my opinion, I think it will all come down to whether the NX releases in 2016 or 2017. If it's 2016, then I think they will have a press conference, but if it's 2017, then I think they will continue with the digital event.

I think they will do two conferences. A digital presentation to show the games for 3DS/WiiU/NX, and a live presentation before that to show the final draft of the NX, specs, how does it work...

I think that they will, since the justification for not doing it in the first time was the lack of new hardware being revealed. And since directs are going to recieve a overall, i think that kimishima plans for E3 are different from iwata ones.

My only concern is reggie. Since kimishima is not a "peoples" person, i can see the enterity of the event in his back, and i really dislike the way that he interacts with the public.

Hopefully not, I actually do prefer the digital event format over a press conference.

I have a feeling that they will have a seperate conference event to reveal the NX, and then dive more into it on a digital event at E3. However, since the digi events was Iwata's idea and he is no longer with us, I feel with someone new leading, that could possibly change. I hope not though. I prefer the digi events to a live conference.

Probably live conference this time because of NX reveal.
