Forums - Sony Discussion - Im off to start Bloodborne. Any tips?

This is the first time that i've delved into a "Souls" experience. Wish me luck. If you have any tips, please let me know. It looks like I am about to enter a dark realm of gaming i've never been to before. Haha

LOL From what I am seeing so far, I wont fear any action game game that I face after this.

-Have patience

-Stay sharp

-Never think "this is to hard" because it isnt, you just need to view the situation you are in and think of a solution..

-And try and be agressive while still being a little cautious... in other words "get in there" but you need to know when to retreat.

From what I gather this seems to be very true. Haha. I am the hard headed gamer type. I beat contra with my cousin when we were younger because we just dont give up.

Get a cup of tea or coffee, be cool... Then start the game.

-Git gud.

-Don't forget the locations of locked doors, side passages, and so on. The game don't tell you where to go, so you will be returning to those most likely. Assuming of course you don't use some kind of guide. which you shouldn't for the main objective of the game at least.

-Read the description of the items, a lot of interesting lore elements are there.

If things get too hard, the Lecture Hall is a fantastic place to farm blood echoes.

The game can be genuinely scary, which compounds its brutal difficulty. Playing music from Spotify or some other source may help you immensely.

Once you get to the second half of the game, the bosses (save for two) get noticeably easier, even though the areas get much harder and more intimidating.

Ludwig from the DLC is actually possible to beat.

- Remember to lock on for the love of god
- Molitoves wreck the early warewolves
- Explore everywhere
- Speak to npcs multiple times
- Parry parry parry, guns only purpose
- Pushing up on the D-Pad (i think) gives you 5 bullets at the expense of health
- He brave, dont cry, git gud

Nice tip. I am finding that patience is key. This game doesnt really care how much progress you've made. I wonder how many safe zones exist in this game.

Exlplore a lot, there are lots of usefull itens and hiden paths on every corner.

Every time you face a boss pay atention to his moveset, dont go in thinking you gona ace it cause most likely you gona die a few times till you learn how to counter his actions. Turn every fight into a learning experience

Do not start with the Threaded Cane, it looks awesome but is by far the hardest starting weapon to master, if youre new to the series that is like playing Bloodborne on hard.

Find a weapon that you like and dump every upgrade bloodstones you come across on this 1 weapon, do not spread the upgrade stones across multiple weapons. Having 1 well developed weapon is key.

If you have too many Blood Echoes and things are getting tough and youre afraid to loose them, use the item that warps you back to the lamp and spend your echoes before continuing, its better to have to replay a section of the game than decide to truck on, die and loose all your hard earned echoes.

Generaly just be patient, rushing is not realy good in this series.

If you got the Old Hunters DLC dont go for the DLC areas as soon as possible, wait till you lv 70sh at least otherwise youll be mauled, the DLC area is much harder than the normal game, some of the bosses are as brutal as brutal can be.

Read Iten Descriptions, theres a lot of nice lore insights there.
