Nope, still have them all working normally.
The only one that broke was because of my bother, he dropped grape juice all over our Master System and it broke, but not the system fault.

Ouch.. sorry to hear that. I actually had a friend have that happen to his Vita, and had to be repaired. : X It was lame for him indeed...

Yeah, it was really sad, we loved that thing.
Got a PS1 not much after that, so it wasn't that much time of sadness, though xP

Yeah, I imagine for real great times started there on the PS1 : D

PS1 - one broke
PS2 - three broke (I know people who had their 7th)
PS3 fat - one broke (well was more like dead/faulty on arrival lol)

rest so far so good.

Please show me Hard evidence of 7 new ps2 broken because I have serious doubts of the kind of abuse someone would have to put to destroy this many console in a gen.

Even more when failure rate of ps2 is nowhere close to rrod on first version of X360.

Sure thing, pull out your time machine we go visit my mates house just before his 7th failed.

a few, 2 Atari 2600's. 1 NES, 2 PS2's, 2 PS3's, 1 Xbox 360. everything else lasted until I stopped using it.

- Wii disc drive need to be cleaned (Smash Bros issue). Nintendo did this for free...
- Wii U fan failed. Luckily was within its warranties time...

But - I'm a heavy smoker and I've seen small computers fans failing here after some days...

Bad luck, usually Nintendo consoles are pretty resilient... I'm impressed by the quantity of Wii failures I saw in this thread, wouldn't expect it.

Yep, pretty classy. claim you had 3 failures and some others were so high as 7 and you have 0 evidence but preffer to give a smartass answer?? Do you have any reason to put the claim when the thread is only about your failed consoles? And have you had only sony consoles or only the sony consoles you had failed?

not sure what your issue is. The ps2 did have an abysmal failure rate, they even got sued over it at one point, I would actually think it wasn't that much better than the original 360's failure rate. 7 is high but certainly believable.

Why would I have evidence? it happened what 15 years ago now? It is not like we cared cause you get it replaced for free lol. I never claimed it was a MASS wide problem just unlucky or our little island got a bad batch who knows.

I've had NIntendo consoles none have just out right failed on me. The NES eventually needed its pin connector replaced from overuse

I've had a 360 slim HALO edition (got it late because of the RROD), that has a door opening issue sometimes.

Yes it was high, but no it wasn't near as high as RROD, don't pretend that is true... from what I recollect PS2 was around 5-10% and X360 around 30% at the launch models time, hardly equal.

So you had 2 consoles that failed but you didn't reported, but wanted to report the playstation failures? You say you didn't claim it was a mass wide problem but wanted to buff the numbers with a person you know, but also didn't want to put the numbers of friends that hadn't high failures like you or this one had, right?

OG PS3. Got it Christmas 07. It wouldn't play my games in early 2010. Sent it in, got it back 2 weeks later. Stopped working in early 2011. The amount of BS I had to go through just to get the picture to show on my tv. Had to buy the Slim during the summer. I still have the OG PS3 so it can be in my collection.
