Good point. I was about to say, it doesn't look like 2016 is off to a good start, but the 1/53rd week shift helps explain it.

Even better, if one considers Week 1 2016 is the week 2 of the other years then 2016 would win against all others. So clearly sales aren't dropping nearly as fast as the years before and could recover the lost sales in a few weeks time.

15k, pretty much exactly as I expected. Next week may be down a lot however if the massive stock problems the console has for a couple of days now don't get resolved soon.

With the knowledge of the Games that came out in Q1 and the games coming out in Q1 I'll say 2016 will be ahead of 2015 and 2014 by the end of march, by a pretty big margin ahead of 2015 as well.

updated, 2016 passes 2015 however 2014 and 2013 manage to increase their leads as well.
