Forums - PC Discussion - Oculus Team says Oculus to have 100+ titles in 2016

- at last that is the promise from Oculus Team via a blog post:

Lucky’s Tale and EVE: Valkyrie are just two of the amazing titles you’ll be able to play when Rift launches — dozens of full-length, AAA games designed for VR are coming to Rift, with more than 100 titles available by the end of 2016, including Minecraft!

- on Oculus exclusive games they said:

Oculus Studios will introduce more than 20 games that are coming exclusively to Oculus this year, including Rockband VR by Harmonix, Edge of Nowhere by Insomniac, and The Climb by Crytek. We’ll be announcing additional titles soon!

The VR War may be upon us.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

They seem like children: "I have over 100 games" "Oh, yeah? I have MORE than 100 games!" "But my headset is cheaper" (start slapping each other like kids).

You know it deserves the GOTY.

It's war, what do you expect?

The whole "exclusive" thing bothers me. All VR headsets should adhere to a standard and be compatible with all "VR-compatible" games. It should be up to the headset makers to lure us in with features, not exclusives. Because with exclusives, everyone loses.

Nope, we win.  Exclusives are typicaly the best games.

You're missing my point.  I spend 600 dollars on Oculus to play its exclusives, and then another 500-600 dollars on PSVR for those exclusives, and who knows how much for the Vive to play those exclusives?

No, we do not win.

PC has no real exclusives, 90% of their "exclusives" will make it to PSVr.

Plus you want quality, pay up.

I'm interested in Minecraft VR. That could be cool.

I do agree that exclusives at this stage may do more harm than good, but companies are going to do whatever they can to get an edge.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

And the funny part is it;s being clamoured by list and warz folk alike where one clearly has to win over the other and appeal to the masses objectively.
