I haven't really thought about collecting these things for all these years, but I downloaded Disney Infinity out of curiousity. It was on sale on XBL and the next day I went to gamestop and bought a base, 3 characters and 2 game crystals. Probably spent a total of 10 bucks after my Power Up discounts kicked in. Set everything up at home and I was hooked on the concept of it all. Not the game itself, but how cute these little figures looked and powering them up. I then proceeded to all the online stores and bought up a crap load of characters that were on sale and even bought a whole lot of power discs and characters on ebay. During my buying spree, I saw some cheap LEGO Dimensions characters and bought those up too. I'm probably setting myself up for a bigger hole in my wallet by doing that. In one week alone, I probably spent $400 that originated from my $20 curiousity.

I also had a short stint of wanting to collect amiibos a while ago. That was mostly due to hype and the potential of big payouts, but that went away pretty quick. Since the rares were so hard to get.

Anyone else in the same boat? What are your stories? Any pics of your collections?

My little brother had an addict on skylanders. Luckily he got bored of it pretty quickly (theres like 3-4 somwhere else). While most of those amiibos were from me I think both the skylanders and the amiibos will cost over $200AUD. That is basically the same price as a new 3DSXL.

Hopefully my brother won't find out about Disney Inifinity and the Lego D.

I have no interest in any of the common nfc toys to life. My buddy gathers a pretty big collection of Disney infinite and amiibo. I'll ask him how much but I'm guessing $200+. He doesn't seem to use em in game they just look cool on his mantle. I'm going to be a KI collector. Nothing I've seen tops their quality. They are about 3 times the price of amiibo.

(I spent at least $637 + plus tax I think, I know some amiibos are in bundles and whatnot, but I don't think it makes a drastic difference.)
