Forums - Sales Discussion - Global Hardware - 26th December (PS4 1.1 Million Units)

Very good PS4 sales,a lthough lower than in BF week. Nice sales overall, but Sony should support PSV better, if it can sell almost decently with the sole help of Japanese third parties, it could sell more than decently with its maker support.

Several people said that with BF spreading in several other countries they were deflating december, so they weren't wrong.

i think, 2016 is the biggest year EVER for console's. PS4 over 50 million at the end of the year 2016 maybe.

Should do it easily, honestly.  Almost 36 mil by January 3rd, means it'd have to be down ~2 mil YoY to not hit 50m.

Can someone please explain to me the sales of the PSvita in Europe? I mean, 72,199 in a single week? For a handheld that is selling 20,723 in north america, i found this very strange..

Nothing surprising, the vita is more popular in europe than Us with all jap games, that's all. nd we had nice sales for the Vita 2000 too.

Fair enough.

But, why is selling better there than in japan? And why i can't find any vita game on the top 75 best selling games of the week in europe? I mean, in the last reported week before this one (12 of december), the vita (according to VGchartz) sold more than 55k there, but not a single game for the platform appeared in the last Europe Weekly Chart.

So, People are buying less physical and more digital games there for the console? Or they are buying the Haldheld only for that off-tv play experience with the PS4? :p

I cant see the pic. Can someone please post the numbers again?

Ya I have a really hard time believing Vita is doing that well in Europe, it was recently adjusted down a bunch, I feel like some point in the near future they are going to have to do it again.

Ahh, the answer is really simple. Because you don't find many physical vita games in europe :p

Except amazon, it's really hard to get a lot of titles in physical on vita in europe actually, it's much better in Us/canada, and i don't understand why when it sold better here.

That's why i use Vg+ a lot too.
