Nope. They might as well just pack it up, stay home, and not show any of the dozens of games that will never be released on a Nintendo system.

For once Nintendo actually listened to me and is basically doing this

Thanks Nintendo

By the sound of things MS and Sony should easily beat Nintendo this year.

Even if the NX was going to be revealed at E3 I still think Sony would win. Sony is going to announce Crash Bandicoot 100% and a shit ton of people will be happy. And then we still have Sony Bend, Suckerpunch and probably a 2nd/3rd party exclusive like The Order/Ratchet is going to be announced. And a full blowout for Horizon is also going to get people pumped.

EDIT: Lol I can't believe I forgot God of War.

I used to care about who won E3, back when all three companies put all their marbles on that show. But then Nintendo started doing Directs like crazy and I realized I much rather enjoy getting to hear about new games every 1-3 months (in a presentation) than having to wait for annual conferences for them to be announced. Because of this, they obviously can't have massive shows at E3 but that is cool with me. I don't want to ever go back to having to wait a full year to hear about 90% of new games for the device I play. Maybe some of you Sony/Microsoft fans feel differently, but that is my opinion. I like what Nintendo does and is continuing to do. The less they show at E3 the more they will have to show at random points in the year to make it fun in those parts of the year.

ok. let's just pretend that there isn't a company that somehow manages to have a "big show" including one of its own.... five times a year... GDC, E3, Gamescom, TGS and PSX (and that's not even including all the showings they have at every other show year round).

Let's also forget that YouTube channels like PSaccess are there that basically does all year round what a Nintendo direct does in one day.....

Make no mistake, a curated presentation experience isn't the reason Nintendo isn't at every major conferences.

Price drop wouldn't be that big of a thing, its expected. GOW IV and Horizon gameplay are much more important factors IMO.

I wonder what everyone's confidence ratings are now since Nintendo botched the unveiling of NX and most of it's launch line up for E3 ...

This thread is/was dumb either way. Nintendo has a good line up for E3, so Sony and MS should just give up and show nothing? Yeah, ok.

Yeah it was bad from the premise. OP assumes Nintendo on its good day wins automatically and mainstream still care about Nintendo. Fact is Nintendo has been getting less and less relevant over the years, not more popular. The franchises they use have become predictable, even if they brought back Metroid and it looked awesome, Sony has an answer. Sony's conferences are more exciting and have more surprising announcements and they don't just limit it to E3 season like Nintendo and MS. There's things to look foward to year round with E3, TGS, Gamescom/PGW, PSX.

Playstation is expanding rapidly with PSN now making more money than all of Nintendo, embracing 3rd parties and non-Playstation hardware with PS Now, Vue etc. Nintendo on the other hand feels like they have holed themselves up milking whatever's left of their hardcore fans with Amiibos, and their mobile effort looks to be too little too late, with Miitomo already off the charts.

Nintendo lost the marketshare this gen and now start losing mindshare as well missing E3, not having anything this holiday etc. Whatever NX is it needs to generate Wii level hype because the CoD/Fifa crowd isn't gonna get a Nintendo system just because "hey we do 1080p too now guyz! it looks betta than yo ps4"

Still a chance for Nintendo to "win" if Zelda is really, really good. And just because they won't have anything else playable(which is irrelevant for us anyways) doesn't mean they won't show something else

"This is too easy" is implying everything that I didn't bother to state.
