Forums - Movies & TV - I need to talk about Star Wars The Force Awakens and why I didn't like it

I have other reasons why, but I will tell this one to start:  the music.

I loved it. Music wad just different. Figure it was changed for a new trilogy.

Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

The villain was a cool badass, and then he took off his helmet and became a little bitch.. smh I was disappointed. Other than that, I like the movie.

CPU: Ryzen 7950X
GPU: MSI 4090 SUPRIM X 24G
Motherboard: MSI MEG X670E GODLIKE
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB DDR5
SSD: Kingston FURY Renegade 4TB
Gaming Console: PLAYSTATION 5

One of the things nobody questions about the six movies is how good the music is. Not in this case. The music is subpar. There is no tune you can hum

The villain is a douchebag retard

No new worlds or spaceships...

Fan service? Han Solo'se death is slap in the face

I get where this criticism comes from, but after the inevitable initial disappointment when I saw his face, I actually thought that was good. If Kylo Ren had been a "cool badass" forever, he would have ended up as a generic Darth Vader 2.0. I mean, I don't have a problem with Vader, but in a movie where at least 60% was either a rehash or reimagination of stuff that was already done in the originals, it was nice to actually have a different villain that felt more like a person you could (kinda) relate to and wasn't yet very powerful. He made for an interesting character and now I'm genuinely eager to see what happens to him in the next couple of movies.

This. For example, that scene on a bridge with another character near the end of the movie  would not have been the same if we could not see Kylo Ren's emotions. I have people telling me (all speculation of course) that SPOILERS:

Kylo Ren stabbed Han Solo in a place that would not kill him and Han Solo lives and blah blah blah. Therefore they suggest Kylo Ren and Han Solo shared some sort of silent discussion but idk wtf they're talking about. Idk what I'm talking about either lol

It wasn't a proper sequel more like a lover letter to the original/ remake/ sequel/ disney princess kinda movie

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
