This is pretty significant.

Mainly because Final Fantasy IX is all kinds of amazing.

Not the end of the world with that news, given I do wonder about the last two things you said, and if it will effect anything.

Loved FF IX so shall be tempted to get this... Would prefer if the game got the same treatment as VII and was released on the PS4... I wouldn't class the FF games as easy to play on button-less devices!

If the high speed and boosting features are the same as FFVII then I am not too worried about them. Optional 3x game speed movement and optional battle settings. As far as the pick up and play go though, maybe cloud storage that allows for cross device saving?
