One would hope that the story would be strong enough to not depend on a feminist point of view to sell and get attention. Not that I have anything against feminists. Its just that shouldn't be the only reason for choosing a girl. It should be story driven and related.

I take the whole discussion as "here's a chance of saying something positive about the game that could translate to headlines and discussions where the game's name will be repeated and help promote it".

Doesn't mean there is not an honest artistic intention behind the game's story though.

The movie is completely separate, and a lot different than the book. It's a great book, the best book based off a game series I've ever read.

Wait, so we are getting news about ReCore ? :O

Btw from the few lines written in this thread it really seems that the Metroid vibe is perceptible in this game, I'll be really sad if this game ends up releasing this year AND it is really similar to Metroid...

It's better for sure. What's her name Karen Travis or something(the gears author). She did a halo trilogy that was pretty good, her Star Wars clone wars trilogy was also quite good but not as good as the first halo book.

The CGI trailer looked good, im curious about how the actual real game looks though.
