I'm late. But the boss battles are way, way better in the 3DS version imo, and it was one of the aspects the original game needed an improvement. Why? Odolwa in the N64 version is just spamming B button. You don't have to do any strategy, any thinking about this boss. In the 3DS at least, you have to figure how to hit the head eye. Goht on the N64 is just hitting it with the Goron suit. In the 3DS you have to change between Goron suit and your bow. Not something groundbreaking, but at least it's more entertaining. Gyorg is the worst boss on any Zelda game ever on the N64. The camera and Zora controls were horrible, and it was a frustrating boss. On the 3DS version, it has a nice twist in the end, with an cool underwater battle. And the Twinmold twist, having to battle it without the suit on the beginning, and being able to grab it and "do a barrel roll! lol" was fun. It's miles ahead on boss battles. Bomber's notebook is way more useful. I think there's no contest, 3DS version is better.
About RE, I also prefer the remake. The controls are improved, graphics are way better (obviously) and it doesn't have that shameful live action introduction (it looked like a Z movie, hilarious). In fact, I think it's probably one of the best remakes ever made.
