yes japanese kids get money for new year which results in high video game sales for the next ~2 weeks, but afaik the last years this usually boosted Sony devices much more than it did Nintendo devices - Nintendo seems to peak around christmas

- LOOK AT THE FUCKING LEGS OF MONSTER HUNTER X! YOKAI WATCH BUSTERS! SPLATOON! SUPER MARIO MAKER! ANIMAL CROSSING HAPPY HOME DESIGNER! MARIO KART 7 & 8! ANIMAL CROSSING NEW LEAF! NSMB 2! SUPER SMASH 3DS!

I am really happy with these sales!

So my 25k prediction for Ginei Ibunroku #FE wasn't far off as I see. Too bad it didn't do better. Curiously, the game is going upwards, not downwards on the Amazon Wii U charts, so the drop next week might be pretty small.

And with these numbers, 2015 almost managed to catch up with 2013 Wii U numbers. Really insane how Splatoon und SMM managed to turn the ship around after the horrible Winter and Spring seasons Wii U had this year

week 53 is still there, it could beat 2013 (it wont). i'm just saying there is a chance.

YES!!!! It just shows how Nintendo just needs that killer game! Imagine if Splatoon came out near the beginning of the year!

I guess the fanbase of the 2 games which was used was not on the console. 

But since the Wii U has received many hardware sales this year/ the last few weeks. Those owners might get intrested in this after they get bored with Splatoon and/or SMM. Especially the Wii U gets hardly any games.
