Activision and Treyarch have gone too far with how playful and futuristic CoD is. CoD doesn't fell like what it used to anymore and I think the games should go back to a WW2 style or at least give us an older remake of one fo the Modern Warfare games for the current gen. The CoD series just doesn't fell the same anymore. Here what I mean.

I miss the WW II shooter days, back then I had all sorts of fun with World at War and Big Red One. Now these days it's the same type of scenario, same type of weapons and it's been done to death, especially with the whole "war on terrorism".

I also long for the days when you couldn't do annoying trick shots to which youtube would become spammed with them.

Also sniping back then you actually took a slightly decent amount of time, now you just take a nano second and that's not really how real life sniping works let alone the sniping of games from the old days.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

They should do other wars. A CoD that recreates some of the less known wars of the 20th century might be both refreshing to the series and more interesting to play: the Korean war, the fights between China and the USSR, the soviets campaingn in Afghanistan... Hell, they could take a risk and make a WWI game somehow, even though the Western front was all trench battles and that might be difficult to translate into gameplay.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

I'd actually like that than this futuristic crap.

I actually like futuristic more for some reason ww2 shooters usually bore me :P but I agree with darwin they should do some other wars or a game that is more modern rather than in the future.

Shouldn't go back to ww2 - it should go back to present day.

They should do whatever makes the game modes fun. If a futuristic theme is needed for sliding, jetpacks, swimming, specialist abilities, and wall riding, then so be it. Who cares about the setting, just enjoy the gameplay.

The setting never prevented me from liking both the multiplayer and the zombies mode even though they are completely diffferent

If they have the balls make a game based on ww1
If not ww2 and let this future nonsense die

Yes much of it was, but there were many normal land battles as well at times, at the start, and at the end (when tanks came in)... there is certainly enough variety to make a WW1 COD.

  • Land battles
  • Use of chemical warefare
  • Trench warfare
  • Bombardments
  • The first airplane battles
  • Balloons/spying
  • First Tanks/Tank battles
  • Boat/ship battles

There is enough in WW1 to make a good game, just they do not want to unfortunately.

Making an indie game : Dead of Day!

Black Ops 3 has a great WW2 inspired level, I guess as a nod to fans. I really like the futuristic angle, especially in blops 3. I wouldnt mind if they switched it up a bit per game: modern, past and future.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine
