Generally speaking

Putting aside my more niche preferances, getting what I consider two horror masterpieces (Evil Within and Alien Isolation) in the middle of such an era lacking good horror games, plus a WRPG better than 2015 (IMO DA > Witcher and (modern) Fallout any day). At least in the mainstream/AAA space, I think it was a much better year. 2016 looks like a superior year for exclusives "in general" but we'll see about multiplats

The games this year are better than last year imo.I like games like the Witcher 3 and Bloodborne more than any game released last year. But to each his own.

2014 was a better year for bad games imo....

Hmm, I have a bit of a hard time picking between the 2 years. 2014 had games like Smash Bros, MK8, Bayo, DK, and Hyrule Warriors, but 2015 had Splatoon, Mario Maker, Wooly World, Fatal Frame 5, and XCX. So I dunno if I can really pick. Both were great for me.

I thought 2014 was good, but quieter than 2015. 2015 was good and busy. Obviously peoples tastes vary and such.

I bought more new games in 2014 than in 2015, but I mostly game on the 3DS, and the games I get on PC are old so I can get them cheap.

I loved last year cause Bayonetta 2, Hyrule Warriors, Smash Bros 4 and Mario Kart 8.

But I mean this year for me had Splatoon and Xenoblade X and I've put more hours into those two than all four of those others combined by now.

Also I got into more of the Wii U's backlog this year so it didn't really feel empty to me.
For me, I'd have to say 2015 was probably better because I also played all those other games a lot this year.
