Forums - Nintendo Discussion - YOU are now in charge of Nintendo's VC team. which games do you bring first?

If I was in charge I would start the process of adding hd texture packs to VC games and release them one at a time. As a consumer, I'm kind of tired of buying the same games that LOOK exactly the same. I wouldn't mind some enhancements.

I would add cross buy for Wii U and 3DS VC games and I would lower the price of NES games to 2$ and SNES games to 3$ Then I would add

Final Fantasy 1-6
Chrono Trigger
Shin Megami Tensei 1 and 2
Megami Tensei
Mother 3
Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen
Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire
Pokemon Emerald
MegaMan ZX
Megaman ZX Advent
Megaman 64

A ton more not on my head ATM.

If I were in charge of the VC since the release of Wii U, I would start bringing:

1) 10 N64 games for the release
- F-Zero X, Super Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, Mario Kart 64, Kirby 64, Star Fox 64, Pokémon Stadium, Paper Mario, Donkey Kong 64 and Super Smash Bros

2) 10 SNES games for the release
- A Link to the Past, Super Mario Kart, Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, Super Metroid, Final Fantasy VI, Mega Man X, Donkey Kong Country, Earthbound and Chrono Trigger.

Other games would get releases as the time goes on. Also, GC virtual console! Starting with Metroid Prime, Mario Kart Double Dash, Wind Waker, Super Smash Bros, Melee and Pikmin.

We all know that Nintendo has an incredible back catalogue, comprising all of its systems. However, they have not been utilising it to the greatest extent themselves, so how about we simple fans take charge?

I

2. Super Mario All-Stars

Remade, superior versions of the original Mario trilogy, including the Lost Levels. The inferior original versions of all these games are already on the eShop, but what's stopping Nintendo releasing Super Mario All-Stars at a higher price than the available three originals together; e.g. the originals are all $6 here in Australia, so why not charge a $25 or $30 tag for the package, and make it available on both the 3DS and Wii U eShops as a cross-buy title?

I definitely want SMAS.  But no more than $15 for an SNES game, the overall value is more than fair.

For starters I would bring Chrino Trigger, Secret of Mana, and Final Fantasy VI to the eShop in the West...
At least two of those games have been available in Japan for mad long now...
I would also task a team with translating some games that never made it West (Mother 3, Fire Emblem, Familcom Detective Club, etc.)...
I'd also get to the bottom of why there are Gameboy Advance ports of SNES games on the eShop instead of the originals (like Yoshi's Island)...
I'd also put Super Mario RPG up there immediately...

Have a nice day...

Strike a deal with Square Enix and try getting the post-SNES Final Fantasy Games released on the VC. Especially the ones that are currently available on the PC, I see no reason why they can't also be available on the Wii U.

It was mentioned before, but Fatal Frame 4 and Mother 3 would be good ones to start on. Fatal Frame 4 is the best of the series, and I would even say the best horror game of last gen. It's criminal the game never got released outside of Japan.

And Mother 3, what needs to be said? The Mother series demands to be completed west side.

Maybe the missing Bomberman games on SNES too? Those were really great, and I am sad only 2 of them made it out of Japan.

Honestly, there are so many more games that need to be put on VC. I wish Ninten would work faster on updating it more.
