there should be a differentiation between hackers who waste people's time and make the world a worse place and hackers who attack groups like Isis. I'd like to believe any decent hacker had better things to do this year.

Tricky. For example, it is attributed to Anonymous both hacking ISIS and putting in jeopardy the people's PSN accounts.
