Please no. Don't turn a forum into a social competition. We already have enough nonsense what with the points and badges and all that. I know you probably didn't mean for the ratings to affect post order, but still no.

I'd like the ability to only thumb up regular forum posts like mine but no thumbs down because that will just put people off posting.

However I would like a thumbs up and down option for the opening post as in the thread itself.

If there is something like this, hopefully there won't be thumbs down because it wouldn't work well :/

It would be a good idea, but then again, it would be a psuedo 'like' 'dislike' and 'hate' at the same time

While it's great to convey that you agree with a post or so, not so much can be said with the dislike button
..it can be very negative to people wanting to voice out what they want to say, only to get a lot of sad and angry faces.

But then again, sad and angry emotes could work too because if the post isn't bad, it wouldn't get many dislikes in the first place..

Trolls and the like wouldn't care since it doesn't matter to them too :/

I'd love to have likes on this forum , and not only from moible, likes on forums unlike on social networks let you know that a speicific content you made was apreciated, if the content you provide doesn't get any that probably means that either you have a not very popular opinion or simply you didn't explain exhaustively, meaning that later on you'll automatically try to do better. also lots of "^this" "quote" "agreed" and so on posts would be totally deleted, unless of course the person quoting wants to add something to the alrady explained point.

hearts would be good imho so that PS/Xbox fans don't get anoyed by the mushrooms, in the end VGC is a website for everyone :v
