In November, PS4 had a weekly average of 385k consoles sold in the US.
To reach 2M in December, it needs a 400k weekly average. Not much of a difference right? On one hand, December doesn't have a week as big as BF and does not include bundle pre orders. On the other hand, it does include Cyber Monday and had the ps4 at BF price for 2 weeks.
I'm still going with 1.65M for now, but we'll know better when Sony gives us end of 2015 LTD numbers. Last year those allowed me to correctly predict December NPD with near pinpoint accuracy, I expect to be able to do the same this year. So, January 4th, I will know.

All i know is that the PS4 has somehow managed to break every record and expectation set upon it this generation.

I don't know if the PS4 will hit 2M, but I sure as hell know it will be unwise to bet against it.

I think it will match Novembers 1.5M but that's about it. If the $299.99 went for the whole month then maybe yeah but Sony is missing a big opportunity with the price gone back up the week before Christmas when X1 gets the extra week of price advantage. Lost sales from Sony this week imo.

Doesn't december have 5 weeks? 2M is doable with $299 bundles, December is usually bigger than November plus there should be some boost due to the SW movie. And you wont get 2015 LTD numbers if Sony doesn't share them, they're not obliged to until their quarterly reports.

around 2M is a safe prediction.

My prediction is 1.8m but 2m is possible. It would need enough stock and I'm not confident Sony shipped enough. Hopefully they did!
