Yeah but Thursday evening is always included with Friday numbers.
Well it now has the biggest domestic opening weekend but JW did better numbers on both Saturday and Sunday. That being said once Mondays numbers come in it will be the fastest movie to get to $250 million dollars domestically.

JW opened in more markets. TFA isn't playing in China yet.
Disappointing it didn't beat JW's worldwide opening..hopefully once adjusted numbers come in it's ahead of it.
My prediction threads:
Wii U will sell under 40m units (made on 14th September 2012)
PS Vita will sell under 20m units (made on 30th September 2012)
Wii U will sell under 7m in 2013 - I was right

Still is no big deal because it hasn't released in China yet. If it released in China this weekend and did even remotely close to Jurassic World, it would have blown the WW record out of the park. Hopefully adjustments will get it up.

And JW wasn't opened in Japan yet.
It beat Jurassic World without even being in China with $528mil vs. JW's $525mil http://money.cnn.com/2015/12/20/media/star-wars-the-force-awakens-opening-weekend-box-office/

Japan is a tiny market compared to China now. China will be bigger then the US soon. Plus China is bigger in producing their own movies then Japan now. There where eight Chinese movies that grossed over $100 million in China and one that came close to grossing $400 million (Monster Hunt). Plus more and more western movies get co produced with China now like Kung Fu Panda 3 and the upcoming Need For Speed sequel.

To further proof my previous point just look at the numbers for JW it made $228 million in China and only $74 million in Japan. Also unlike China, Japan doesn't have any restrictions on how many foreign movies can be shown in theaters each year and they don't have any restrictions on how long a particular movie can run. Even with those restrictions China is already a much bigger and more important market then Japan.
