I see many people claiming that the other six movies are full of plot holes, things that don't make sense, and inconsistencies. Feel free to point them out since I really haven't seen anyone do so.

Also, tell me what the GREAT action sequence was in The Force Awakens? I can't think of one and can list at least one GREAT one from each of the other six films. I'll do so now.

The Phantom Menace - The pod race and the Lightsaber duel.

Attack of the Clones - Everything from the arena on until the stupid ending...

Revenge of the Sith - The awesome opening space battle. Countless light saber duels.

A New Hope - The attack on the Death Star.

The Empire Strikes Back - The Snow Speeder scene on Hoth.

The Return of the Jedi - The speeder bike scene on Endor.

The whole escape from Jakku from the moment Finn meets up with Rey to the chase in the Millenium Falcon.

Oh yeah.  Where she learns how to fly the Falcon better than Han Solo in about five minutes?  That probably was the best action sequence but the whole thing pissed me off.  Didn't know the Falcon could do hair pin turns like that.

Plus the scene on Takodana when the First Order attacks. I really loved watching Poe in the background destroying Ties and then Finn mentions it. Was enjoyable.

Also we have never seen the Falcon fly in atmosphere (aside from leaving a planet) so of course no hairpin turns before now.

Most people I've spoken to liked the lightsaber fight(s) at the end, them escaping from Jakku, the attack on the village in the very begining of the film, the battle at the watering hole...there was a lot of good action in this movie.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

OK, in Ep IV:

Vader tortures Leia but even being incredibly powerful in the Force, at no point figures out that she's his daughter. Luke and Leia figure this out on their own even with limited/no training.

Leia has her entire planet, family and friends, but all she effectively does is direct a glare at Vader and is later calmly relaxing in her cell by the time Luke and Han break in to save her. Either she's a robot or this is just poor writing/directing/acting.

Luke and Leia are supposed to be kept secret, yet they simply give Luke to Anakin's family and keep the same surname? You don't need the Force to figure that one out.

At the end of the film, the Death Star has to orbit a planet to get into position to destroy the moon the rebel base is in giving the rebels time to get in and destroy the infamous space station. A planet, eh? And a Death Star is designed to do what exactly?

Yeah, I love Star Wars but it certainly has it's fair share of plot holes. For instance, who is the asshole that decided that Leia got to grow up as a princess but Luke had to spend his life sucking moisture out of hot desert air? Why do they keep Lukes last name? Aren't they trying to hide him?

Well, she can do everything better than everyone. She'll probably become a stronger jedi than Luke.

The most depressing thing is to realize that VII wasn't very good at all and the rest of the movies will likely be just as dreary.

And people WILL realize this eventually. TFA is a movie for feminists, children, and adults with limited IQ. Anyone else need not bother with this inconsistent mess of a movie.

You are actually the very first person to say that the lightsaber duels at the end were good.  People defend them by saying that Kylo Ren wasn't at full strength.

The Jakku scene was okay until I figured out that Rey was the greatest pilot that ever lived within a few minutes....

The attack on the village actually was pretty entertaining.  I watched that scene and said to myself, "Wow! This movie is going to be cool!"  Then I watched the rest of the movie.

The battle at the watering hole?  You mean that 7th rate imitation of the cantina scene from the original film?  Really?

So yeah, none of those scenes compare with the best action sequence in any of the other six films.

There's a simple reason why Vader doesn't realize that Leia isn't his daughter.  It's because regardless of what Lucas wants anyone to believe, he thought that Star Wars was going to be a one time deal.  It was like an old Buck Rodgers or Flash Gordon serial that you were entering in the middle.  Thus Episode IV.  I'm pretty sure that he didn't know that Leia was Darth's daughter at that point.

Leia shows sadness and panic when Tarkin says that he is going to blow up Alderaan.  After the deed is done, she shows her resolve by not cracking.  In other words, Carrie Fisher is a pretty bad actress.  Always has been.

Once again.  See paragraph one.

You got me there.  That was  pretty stupid.

All that being said; many of the problems in Episode IV occur after watching the next two installments.  The reason being, that they weren't intended in the first place.

Was it perfect?  No.  But I couldn't pick apart and destroy it like I (and many others in this thread) have with Episode VII.

One note about New Hope that people seem to have forgotten: Obi Wan (at the time) thought Vader was dead. Also, Vader thought his kid (didn't even know he had twins) died.

You may continue.
