Forums - Movies & TV - The Force Awakens sucks! *MAJOR SPOILERS*

I haven't read through all the posts, but I have a theory on how Rey was able to use the Force so easily. I won't go into it all here, but clues are given about a past we don't  know about, and she seems to know little about, too.

I loved the movie. It was a lot of fun. Can't wait to see it again this weekend.

Blog Post: Why does Rey know how to use the Force so easily?

It's like people are looking at this like a standalone film and getting emotional. It's a trilogy. There's more story that just might answer a lot of questions or concerns ppl are having.

Yes,

Yes!

YES!

People are like boo hoo why didn't they spend 10 mins explaining this,  10 mins explaining that! Do they want it to be a 6 hour movie?

As you say it's a trilogy and it's only meant as an introduction to the new world.  I was happy with it just like I was with battlefront.  I'd hate to be someone who gets so picky over things.  You'd enjoy life so much less.

I like your attitude! The next time somebody complains about a dropped frame in a video game or something, I'm calling you. Together, we can teach them to overlook the little things!

As a person that likes some of the star wars movies but was never big into it, this movie was pretty entertaining it was no masterpiece not even the best movie for the year but it was good certainly not a bad movie. But then again as I said I was never that big into star wars. Here are what I think of them:

ANH- I watched this movie as kid in the early 90's I while I was entertained it never really got me even as a kid (I use to think maybe it was just before my time but then I saw)

ESB- This is the only star wars movie I consider great it just a well made movie hands down like star wars or not ( I recently watched this movie over since the last time I saw it which was probably over a decade ago and I still enjoyed it)

ROTJ- Ok a movie, its more that you just watch it to see how the trilogy concludes I guess

PM- I not sure if I ever saw this movie from beginning to end I know saw parts of it but I just cannot remember in all honestly (maybe it just that boring I don't know)

AOTC- meh this was boring, I am probably the the only one that liked the yoda fight

ROTS- kind of ok, its more that you just watch it to see how the trilogy concludes I guess

Also to the ppl comlaining that some things weren't explained that's exactly how ANH was so I don't get it, also some of the stuff was explained like a another poster said throught subtle actions from the actors and scenes in the movie (like the other poster said they specifically showed how powerful chewie blaster was on several occasions for a reason) , do you really want ppl walking around in long corridors explaining every little detail like in the prequels,

Yeah that's another thing.  People who complain about little details like that in video games are likely the same who seek out silly plot holes in films just to moan.

Remember the out cry over the fallout 4 graphics or the witcher 3 / watchdogs graphic downgrade?  It's like the games look absolutely fine,  get over it and enjoy the bloody game.  Gaf is the worst for this.  It's like game looks downgraded by 10% or runs at 30FPS.. "pre order cancelled".  GTFO

We live in a world where everything needs to be written out for people. Last time we got all the answers they bitched anyway (see Prequel trilogy). It was a lose-lose situation. When it comes to fanbases, the one you can absolutely never win with is the SW fan base. They make Final Fantasy fans and their endless debates look tame

Are you telling me there's a worse fanbase than sonic!

Edit: I just opened a big can of worms!

Aw shet, you went there...

I will say, while the SW community is definitely the hardest to please, I will say the dedication is very interesting. Literally everything in SW has a backstory -no matter how batshit insane it may be XD (inb4 its not canon) like you know that astrodroid Luke almost bought in A New Hope before it exploded? Did you know supposedly it was a force sensitive astrodroid who knew it was part of a prophecy and purposely self-destructed so Luke would get R2D2 I think thats what it was, something along those lines anyway...
